Strange problem this so apologies if this explanation doesn’t make much sense. I recently moved all my films etc to a network drive and at some point I must have booted into GB-PVR/Moviewiz (latest version) without the share connected. This caused Moviewiz to label every file with a “*” in the interface, which I thinks means it is not available?

Anyway I rebuilt the whole database by cleaning it out and adding all the files back again. I had tried to use the sync archive adding the locations where the files are stored now on the network share but it just told me that xxx entries were missing and none could be found.

Having done this I’m finding that certain files still are coming up as missing in the app itself. If I remove them then scan for new files it picks them up as “new”. I can then rename the file, find its image etc etc as normal. But when I then select it in the app I get the “file not found do you wish to delete” error.

Any ideas what might be going on here? Let me know if there are any logs etc I can provide which might be of help. As I said it’s only happening on certain files (about 25% of the total to be precise). These files still show up with a "*" in the interface, even straight after adding.

I suggest a Grid Main Menu, similar to the icon menu in the Library Plugins
I have made a mockup to show the idea. The icons are mostly from Linux Crystal Icons.
The upload limitations of height and width to 620x280 doesn't show how really good it looks on a wide fullscreen monitor.
A grid type menu would be perfect for larger 32-42" LCD/Plasma screens.

I've noticed when going in thru EWA that it says the I have 8 days left of EPG. Yesterday it was nine and normally, it should be 13-14 days. I'm using yapi + xmltv enhancer. I would post my logs, but I don't know which ones are of interest.

I have built myself a PVR with the following Spec

Mobo: PC3500G
Processor: VIA Esther C7 1.5 Ghz
Chipset: CN896 (Unichrome Pro IGP)
O/S: Windows XP
TV Card: PVR-150 (Non MCE)
Codec: Cyberlink SP v8 (from Ace Codec Pack)

I am unable to use the Hardware Acceleration for the MPEG-2 Decoding. I am still able to get video/Audio with VMR9-FullScreen, but the CPU is always running at around 100%.

I have seen a note from tjuraeb around Feb 2006 saying none of the codecs support the Hardware Acceleration from the new VIA chipsets (The reference was to the C700 chips). Is this still the case? Is the only option left for me to buy a PCIE card (I have the PCIe slot free on the Mobo)?

I am willing to put in the £40 for that, but thought I would check before I did that.

This theme set is obviously the same as Cast but just with, (for those who like my self prefer), darker graphics.

Again the selectable options available for cast are available here and all the graphics are also in a higher rez format.

As always I'm very open to any suggestions for changes.

The idea behind this series was to create a base theme constant, into which you could change set graphical elements to give a different coloured theme.

The base skin comes with either light or dark buttons, text backgrounds and detail/icon/list non-selected graphics, selectable through the Skin Plugin. And each coloured theme comes with alternative main menu mask framing, again selectable through the Skin Plugin.

All of the graphics for this theme set are a higher resolution, for HD.

I've finally gotten around to finishing this series.

Reflect - Green had been reworked (it's now green for a start )
Reflect - Black has been reworked from the ground up and should look more polished
Reflect - Blue is a new theme added for this release

New for this release is also the fact that the majority of the graphics of the above are in a higher resolution. This should help them look and scale better for those lucky enough to be in a HD environment.

Hopefully these will be available in the next Skin Plugin update.

I have an AverTV A16D (http://www.avermedia.com/AVerTV/Prod...Id=25&device=1).

First off congrats on making the best PVR I have found, the one that came with my card works well enough but doesn't support hardware acceleration and seems to be screwing up a few channels yours gets right. (I thought 1,2 specifically were poor due to poor reception but from using GB-PVR it is clear it's a glitch in the AverTV software)

Never the less there are some problems, maybe they all stem from the lack of an option for the A16D in the capture card type box, I had to use the A16AR.

First any of the channels may 'go wrong' and show garbled images, but that is easily fixed by changing channel back and forth (if it is bad it stays bad and if it is good it stays good until you change away and back again), it doesn't seem to happen the majority of times I change channel.

There is an issue with TV3, at the bottom half of the image there is what looks like a 1 pixel jitter, it does not occur at the top and it does not occur in the AverTV app.

C4 works but has occasional problems with screwed up images.

Maori, TVNZ 6&7, TVNZ Sport, TV Central do not work at all (well video wise), the images for all of them show a screwed up version of Maori TV!
Parliament TV seems to work however.

note: the image issues with AverTV on 1&2 mainly and the GB-PVR issues noted above are of quite different graphical appearance.

The new ATI drivers (beta) are out for the ATI 780g IGP motherboard with HD3200 graphics. I can get hardware acceleration to work in the DXVA checker app for cyberlink 8 with vmr9 and evr, and AVIVO with vmr9 only but not in GBPVR.

I tried EVR, VMR9 custom, and VMR9 FSE. EVR for both AVIVO and cyber won't accelerate (it's not supposed to for avivo, but is for cyber.) VMR9 custom with cyberlink freaks out with stuttering and green screen and for avivo the same. VMR9FSE plays fine, but as AFAIK no HA for either codec.

Are there any ideas as to why this is? Is VMR9 custom REALLY VMR9? Perhaps it's not considered that by the codec and that's why it's not working. However, that would not explain why the freakiness. FSE, is that more like traditional VMR9?

I'm using the DXVA checker program which lets you play a file via the different codec modes (AVIVO mpeg2c, cyberlink mpeg2b, c, etc.) using different renderers.
