I'm not exactly sure how to configure this program to run properely.

I would like;
new eps. marked with an *
orig. air date
list of actors in the show
show description
and also episode # & title (eg. 103-whatever my title might be)

I have looked at the wiki, but I'm not sure exactly which checkboxes should be checked off (what's the deal with the lef/right checkboxes?)

last (but not least) I need to know what my UpdateEPG.bat should look like.

I am using the genaric xmltv downloader using SD.

my file structure is as follows C:/EPG/xmltv
and C:/EPG/UltraXMLTV_Enhancer
with my xmltv.xml file going in the C:/EPG directory.

I have done something to my PC's settings so that I now get a jittery double image of everything that I watch.

Another TV-card program that I use manages to get the card to display OK.

Any help appreciated...

Windows Media Player 11 has also developed the same fault with SOME video files (not others)

Is anyone using the Linksys DMA2200 Media Center Extender with GBPVR? This is the one with the built in DVD player. The wife was actually open to getting this when I told her it would let her watch HD video on the TV, and even better yet that it would replace the DVD player currently there, so I'm hoping someone can confirm it works with GBPVR.

Wondering if anyone has gotten it working, if someone knows it doesn't work, etc.

I just posted a demo of my client on youtube. The existing demos were kind of old (old GUI) and the one that was up to date didn't go through many plugins.

I have been meaning to get onto this problem and post it here for a while now. Sorry if this has been posted before.

The problem I'm having is whenever I try to tune to a channel in GB-PVR, I press the button 'watch', then the program tunes to the channel, when it does, I usually get a blank screen, with sound, but no picture, I then have to re-tune to the channel, and sometimes the problem occurs again. I have once had to do this about 6 times before it actually worked.


Any ideas?

Ok, previously I was using i-xmltv for Scheduals Direct but now I can't get it working again (see here).

Can somone tell me how to use the built in SD option of gbpvr and automaticly skip the channels I tell SD to ignore (currently the channels are being added to the guide with no channel data) I don't really want to have to go through all the channels again and manually remove them again. As I said, I have already done this on the scheduals direct site.

Is it possible to watch the streams on Pocket PC (WM5)?

If so which is the right player and stream settings? So far I didn't have any luck.

Starting from post 59.

The problem is that songtitles that exist in the language file, are being translated. e.g. a song called "Exit" is translated to "afsuiten" (dutch for exit).

I just recently discovered the transcoding feature and absolutely love it for my kids PSP and wife's iPod. MPEG and Divx seem to be transcodeable (is that a word?), I wonder if transcode support for FLV files is a future possibility?

I am referring to the transcoding by menu in PVRX2 BTW.

I am using a PVR 350 and after reading many posts online here and other websites was able to configure and have Closed Captions recorded into the MPEG file. By trial and error and some more reading, that after the PC is rebooted [unfortunately that is needed occasionally ], that the very first use of the card does not include closed captions. If I either record a show or view live for even a few seconds, then the next time of recording or viewing is fine.

So my questions are:
a. Does anybody have any suggestions or ideas as to why or ideas to make it work the first time?

b. If it is not solveable, then I thinking of a workaround that using the new schedule.exe to record a 10 sec clip after reboot. Not sure where would be the best place to put this, perhaps into the Run section of Registry under HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run ... any ideas?

The main reason I want to have this automated is that the wife likes closed captions and the above gets a little complicated.
