I've been using this for a couple of months now, and just recently found out that an OSD is supposed to be displayed during recordings (didn't even know it existed), I've tried all of the remote buttons and keyboard shortcuts, and here is what I've gleaned from changing config settings.
VMR9 Cutom - NO OSD during playback, everything functions fine
VMR9 fullscreen esclusive - OSD during playback, no video only sound
EVR - doesn't work with what I have
Overlay - OSD during playback, video and sound but cannot get video in correct aspect ratio (always stretched) unlike VMR9 Custom
I'm using PVRX2 obviously and the latest release.
Any help, or other information that would bring further insight.
I'll thank anyone in advance for the help, and to be honest I can get along just fine w/o, but an on screen timeline would be nice, and before I knew its supposed to be there I took it for an odd thing not to include.
This only seems to occur with two cartoons that I record for my kids.
When I select play, the "buffering" logo will flash on the screen for a split second and I have to press the power button to get back to the main screen & start up gb-pvr again. Sometimes I have to unplug the unit.
This only occurs with two shows ("Tom & Jerry" & "Max & Ruby") but it happens with every episode of those shows. How do I determine if the problem lies in the device or in GB-PVR? I looked in MVP-PVRX2.exe.log, and the only reference I see to the show being requested is when I switched back to the MediaMVP (I'm glad I left it hooked up or my kids would have rioted ).
I have recently installed community skin and I like it very much! The only problem I have for now is with SearchWizx2 plugin. When I use it to find a show and click on it there is no information besides name, channel and time in the pop up. There is also no buttons on the very bottom for scheduling and return. Any ideas?
Old vers (which I still REALLY like :-) ). I find the column widths (e.g. the new delete one takes a large chunk of screen width and does not compres sinto the one IE7 page that it coudl fit on. The Show details column goes off to the right (I can see it, but have to scroll right). Perhaps you can make the delete button background much narrower (to just fit the word), Cancel Recording in two rows, Monday~Sunday on two rows?
It's probably as I'm a heavy user of Excel, a Virgo, pedantic, whatever, but I really like the vertical column lines in the old version. The new CSS one "free-flows" a bit much for me, I sort of get lost which info is in which column. Could I ask for Excel-like vertical lines like the old one?
I'm probably barking up the wrong tree here but...
I can use Notify/GBPVR.Public.EventTypes to find out about whats going on with audio and video (and other stuff) - but is there a way to find out if a picture library slideshow is active?

First try the statistics page and see if it works. If it does then you need not do anyting.
If you are not getting space results you can either change the gbpvrrecordingservice to run under a local account that has access to the network share or try the option below.
Map the network drive to the local machine as a physical drive. This was the original model.

First of all, I'm apologizing in advance as this might have been discussed before, but I couldn't understand the answers. I'm a newb, but I really like this software.
I am running a lone HVR 1600 card in Vista Ultimate 32 bit. My analog (cable) and digital (QAM) sources are setup and I'm pretty sure my EPG is right. The problem I am having is that when I schedule a recording from a digital channel, whatever the last analog channel that was watched gets recorded instead.
The analog and digital source are both set as device 1, which I thought was correct. What do I try?
How do i install the card on gbpvr and then scan channels?
Have installed BDA driver tho on My theatre it is flickering ( but am getting some video and sound on that)

Got a Nova-T stick in addition to my PCI Nova-T 9002. Any advice appreciated.
Have tried to add it as a second capture source, but as soon as I try to scan for channels in config, I first get this error message:
