happened to me on 1.2.9 (or whatever latest version is)...
was listening to some music tracks and skipping a few songs, then stopped the music and thats when the screen saver moved around with every remote press - pressing guide did get rid though..
attached logs -happened at 21:09 (after listening to flight of the conchords tunes and before wife watched coronation street...)
A question; is it possible to exclude certain categories from the "Show All" view, but still beeing able to browse to that certain category and just view those entries?
I'm trying to find one of the big box retailers that sell a multi standard TV in the US. Looking online none of the usual suspects sell them, or at least list them in the specs.
I can find them online at a few places but prefer to find it locally.
I basically need a set that can view all the PAL variants, NTSC, and decode nicam audio. Having a scart input would be a plus also.
Has anyone ever seen one of these in the states?
I'm using MCE 2005 and geting my listings with MceEpg2Xmltv (2.0.0.4) and using UltraXmlTv(1.2.85) to enhance the listings. Ultraxmltv defaults the New Show marker to "New Tag Exists", but when I run it that way some new shows are maked with an * and some aren't. If I set it to "Date Matches Air Date", it works perfectly, and marks all new shows with an * This is all when I run it Manually.
The problem occurs when I set it up to run in UpdateEPG.bat like this,
c:\epg\UltraXMLTV_Enhancer\UltraXMLTV_Enhancer.exe c:\epg\grabber\NJ66188-.output.xml
It seems to revert back to the "New Tag Exist" instead of "Date Matches Air Date"
The regestry does shows: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\UltraXMLTV\UltraXMLTV_Enhancer\Title]
"NewShowDetection"="Date matches AirDate"
"NewShowMarker"=" *"
How do I get "Date Matches Air date" to stick for a bactch file run????
By the way these are two great utilities, and I appreciate all you guy's hard work on them.
I'm using a Pinacle PCTV-HD with a built-in ATSC tuner to pull down OTA HD Channels. I'm using SchedulesDirect to provide my EPG data since they have not only the cable provider lineups but also the OTA channel listing.
SchedulesDirect lists my channels with their proper digital number (18.1,18.2,18.3,36.1,36.2,etc.) Is there a way to use digital numbering in GB-PVR without having to map these channels to another number? On my plasma tv I refer to the channel as 18.1 (or 18-1)... I would like to refer to these in this manner in GB-Pvr without having to map to another number (say 73).... I could map them to 181, 182,183 but I would like to call them by their native number.
With Digital on the horizon as the standard, can GB-PVR handle numbering this way?
Am I just missing something in the config or is their a plug in to do this?
I would love to see something like Zehd proposed for Back to Back recordings implemented (Combine multiple back to back recordings into a single long recording that will be split up again later). This could reduce the number of tuners needed and the number of times the input cable needs to be split.

I can almost see the logic for it going into Ultra XMLTV Enhancer, so the calculations for the new show are done during EPG Update time.
But the real EPG records are stored elsewhere. One very long record is created, and GB-PVR records as per normal - it will be just a long show.... Then when the long show is finished, I slice it up to include pre and post padding. Since its one long contiguous file, there'll be no timestamp issues. I then reintroduce the cut up shows, into the database with their original show description. I then run Comskip on each file.
OK. That sounds pretty good. Now just need some more time...
I have a slightly new setup (moved house...).
The old trusty GBPVR is not connected via DVI to a TV. Windows is set in "Extend your desktop..." thing.
first, "open on second monitor" doesn't seem to work. I get black screen in GBPVR.
But when I open it normally it works fine, then I drag it to the TV and maximize again (Alt-Enter).
All works well, but no OSD on the TV (Restart/Resume, timeline, etc).
If I drag the window back to the PC, I see the OSD (even in the middle of playing or so).
