My EPG source is schedulesdirect and when I am in GBPVR config the comedy channel 45 and A&E channel 60 show up on the EPG source tab but when I am on the channel tab of config they are missing. TV guide does not show them. I have deleted both the EPG channels tab and the Channels Tab and did a update with success. I verified that schedules direct is giving me the channels in the xml file.
I just (finally!) deployed my server to our main TV downstairs. It's an SD 36" TV set. During my testing, I was using a 20.5" Dell monitor with 1680X1050 resolution. Now moving to SD, things are definitely different. I set my TV out to 1024x768 resolution. I'm not sure if 800x600 would have been better, but at that resolution, working with windows screens is difficult because things seem to get cutoff.
Anyway, my issue is the font sizes. I have some difficulty reading the show descriptions while watching a show, TV listings info, and especially in Netflix watch now plugin. Should I mess with the font size somewhere (if so, where?) or decrease to 800x600 on TV out (s-video by the way)?
There are some shows that I just don't like (like Everybody Loves Raymond). There are some shows that I don't want my kids to see (like King of the Hill - animated but *not* for kids! and I don't want to watch it either).
So, when channel surfing, you come across these shows. When the kids see King of the Hill, they say "I want to watch it" because it's animated--thinking it's a children's cartoon. etc.
I would rather not even see these shows when channel surfing.
Could you add an option to support a text file, with 1 line per string that would cause it to skip a channel if the show name for the new channel matches those strings? (make it active only when hitting the 'up' or 'down' channel button, so that you can still type '53' to go to the channel)
Perl regular expressions would be great, or SQL '%string%' style syntax would work, or at least support '*string*', case insensitive.
Maybe GB-PVR could show a .25s static screen saying "Skipping channel 53 -- <show name>" quickly, to indicate a channel/show was skipped.
- When I wakeup from hibernation the screen stays black from time to time. When I close gbpvr with Alt+F4, the desktop is visible and I could run gbpvr and the picture is ok. What happens also is that when a recording is running, I have this problem most of the time. And sometimes after wakeup, I see the screensaver and try to hit a button on the remote, the logo disappears but starts at another position and I am not able to use it until I restart the program.
- Minor problem, when gbpvr is started new, the menu is very smooth, after a few days uptime, menu starts to slow down and stutters.
Have anybody an idea?

There is a transcode option for recurring recordings, but not for singe recordings. I believe it would be really easy for Sub to enable the transcoding option for single recordings too.
Reason. I record a lot of children shows for my kid and those recording need not be top notch and they tend too stay a long time on the HD. So to be able to selectively choose transcoding to Xvid for those would be really nice.
Note, for the regular shows I record I do want the full quality so an auto-convert is not sufficient.
In Recordings I have a show called "I Shouldn't Be Alive" with multiple recorings. On my recordings drive, there is a folder called "I Shouldnt Be Alive" (note the missing '). I put the show icon in that folder and called it folder.jpg. In my gbpvr dir, in the media\art folder, I put the same file and called it both "I Shouldnt Be Alive.jpg" and "I Shouldn't Be Alive.jpg", but the icon doesn't show by the recordings. I've restarted PVRX2.exe but it made no difference.
What and where do show icons get placed for shows that have ' or : in the title?
Hey there. Its probably blazingly obvious, but I'm still pretty noob at this
GB-PVR detects my capture card, AVerMedia A310 (mini DVB-T). It goes on and downloads the EPG after I select the correct tower [Sugarloaf]) etc.
afaik I've mapped the channels (they're showing up under map digital channels).
The problem is, when I try and view a channel, its just a blank screen (with no audio either). The EPG works fine, and the overlay that shows what program is on works fine. Just no image.
I have a feeling its a h.264 issue, what is the best way to install a decoder. I've got PowerDVD8.
Note : I actually had a image working during the DVB-T Trials, but since then Vista has been reinstalled on the laptop
i use the dvb broadcast for my listings on a couple of stations
and it seems that it is out by an hour
how do i tell where the problem is or if there is one
I bought a new drive and I moved my existing shows to that drive and then mapped the new drive in pvrx2 config. However, now the shows aren't showing up. Is there a way to import these? Do I have to move them back to the other drive and then export?
