I'm a total newbie to all this DVB-T stuff, so I could use some assistance. I'm considering getting an InnoDV Tvideo 650 Hybird USB for my system that will arrive next week. I'm not seriously into Digital TV, but would like something, simple and inexpensive, so I can watch and record the occasional program from FreeviewHD service here in New Zealand.

GBPVR (1.2.9) didn't flag this as a failed recording. I only realised it didn't work when I tried to watch it and saw that it only recorded two 6kb files - one at the beginning and one at the end of the programmed time.
My system hibernates and wakes up by itself. All recordings after that worked fine.
What cause this error? Why didn't GBPVR flag it as such and how did it recover by itself without me doing anything to my system?
not sure if this is known, but I'm playing (timeshifting) a recording and when I press play again after FF x1 x2 x4 or x8 video shows immediately but audio stays dead for about 8 secs. Don't see this problem on pause.
I recently added a second capture card to my computer. I had a Hauppauge pvr-150 and I added a Hauppauge PVR-500. I setup the the PVR-500 to be referenced twice and gave each reference a different device number. The PVR-500 has capture device #1 and #2 and I made the pvr-150 Device #3.
When I tried using all three at once the PVR-500 worked fine, the 150 said it was recording, but when I checked the file size it had not recorded anything the file size was zero.
Can you give me some insite as to what I'm doing wrong?
I installed GBPVR, latest build, and the NativeUtilities patch. I can view and hear TV1 and TV2 fine; and I can view TV3, but not hear it. So I purchased PowerDVD, and got version 8, which was released very recently!
My question - how do I select PowerDVD in the config tool under ".264 playback" - I've searched through the forums and Wiki, but I can'r see it.

PS GBPVR is pretty impressive for a part0time development effort.
I tried to install latest version as a client on a vista machine.
I ran the install as an administrator and followed the directions, but all it came up with everytime is a 1725 error. Something about a program necessary for the installation not being present. Then it shuts down the install.
I have successfully run 1.1.5 on it and ended up going back to that version. The version that is running on as the server is a 1.1.5.
Any idea's what the program is that is missing or how I can resolve the issue?
I have a video problem when watch HD with the GBPVRx2. The shows are fine for 2-5 seconds and then become more and more jerky in video and audio.
My system is: AMD dual processor, 2 gig memory, Nvidia 8500gt, Win XP sp2 -up to date, HomeRunHD-latest firmware and software.
The problem only happens with live TV or recorded shows playing through the GBPVR. I have set Video Decoder to Cyberlink Video, Audio Decoder: Cyberlink Audio, Audio Renderer: Cyberlink Audio Renderer. If I do not use these codecs then nothing will happen. I have not added any codecs that are not in the standard Winxp sp2 install.
I have Cyberlink Power DVD version 7 Deluxe.
When I play the same recorded files directly with Power DVD there is no problem. When I play the live HDTV through the Homerunhd with VLC there is no problem, and when I play the HDTV with the Mapping facility built into the 'capture sources' there is no problem.
The problem seems directly related to something in GBPVRx2 playback.
I have read other treads that indicate that PBpvr only uses external playback code, but there must be something that is wrong or missing.
When I set up the recording folders, i made two folders. One for pausing and one for recording. I put them the wrong way around in the config app, when I changed them so they were correct, my recorded shows no longer show up in the recordings menue in the pvrx2 GUI.
I have posted on here several times seeking help on different things but I have failed in getting GBPVR set up. I am currently using Vista Media Center and it sucks. I recently added Starz and HBO to my cable account and if I am wanting to record a program to watch later I have to pray it doesn't come up with a Blue Screen saying I can't watch the program I recorded.

I also have a Microsoft Remote Model 1039 and this has an IR blaster resembling the one in this picture:
These send signals to two STB's. In Media Center they work fine. When I try to use GBPVR I have several issues. When I go to add my cards I don't see two Hauppauge 1600 present when I put a check in "Only show devices connected to this machine". Instead, I see a 1600 and a 1500. Also I am unsure what board numbers I should assign. I have had little issue getting my EPG to work but I am kind of unsure whether I have it set up correctly to update nightly.
My two biggest issues lie in getting Live TV to show a picture (all I get is a black, staticy screen). Second, I have found it nearly impossible to get the channel changer to work. I originally set it to MCE 2005 IR Blaster but no luck. Searching on the GBPVR and other forums I followed several tutorials for getting HIP or IR Server Suite to work. I found HIP almost impenetrable. Such as when I went into "Edit IR Commands" to get the commands from my STB remote I get constant errors trying to learn an IR command. In IR Server Suite I was able to learn commands but they blast to both STB's! I am unable to make it send to one or the other. I am hoping to soon be able to make this work. Please, if you can, HELP!
