Just bought a ZAP DVB-T USB stick at a resale here in sweden by a company called Teknikmagasinet, and found it was not supported by GBPVR.
So by investigating with Graphedit and comparing with my twinhan usb stick I found a way to enable it in GBPVR.
It is based on a chip called E3C EC168 http://www.e3ctech.com/ and it could eventually be used in other type of recivers.
Please add the following lines in bda.ini file:

Can be good info for other Swedes that just bought a the same cheapo reciver. Verified and working in v 1.2.9 of GBPVR.
GBPVR developers are offcourse free to use these settings in the next release of GBPVR.
I noticed last night that the preview menus on disk burning aren't working correctly on the latest version of PVRX2. I have a fix but it won't be out until later this weekend.
Many of you may have seen this, but this is a good article if you want to mute your PC/Server's speakers on a schedule, like when your wife wants to sleep.
Is it possible to use Amino AmiNET 110 with GBPVR? It is Linux based on PowerPC and seems like quite similar to Hauppauge MVP hardware spec. What should I do (changing firmware?) to convert it GBPVR compatible device?
I have a 500 GB drive I only use for recording programs. When I had a single Hauppauge tuner it would store programs with minimal fragmentation, e.g. maybe 4 fragments for a 6GB file. Even when I erased a program and subsequently recorded another the "holes" were large enough that newly recorded programs were not very fragmented.
I added a second tuner and now if the two tuners are recording simultaneously they each put small writes on the disk and the resulting files are heavily fragmented. I defragmented the disk. It had more than 200,00 excess fragments before the defreg. It took approximately 20 hours to complete. I then recorded some programs and the new programs are heavily fragmented, e.g. 7600 fragments for a 3.3GB file.
I understand this happens because of how Windows handles writes to disk. Is there a way you can have PVRX2, when it begins recording a program, reserve a large section of the disk based on the estimated storage requirements for the length of program being recorded and then do the writes as it records within this reserved space?
Because of the size of the recorded programs it isn't practical to frequently defragment the disk and if I don't defrag then the file segments are so small that it interferes with smooth playback.
This must be a common occurrence based on the number of people who identify that they have more than one tuner and presumably use them to record multiple programs simultaneoulsly.

yes, that's right, it says PCI...and if you look at the picture, it actually is a pci slot.. and fanless too..
performance/how it handles HD will have to be seen, but since it offloads the whole video stream, it technically should be able to do 1080p [tho i doubt it, as all 2400's have their quirks.]

Hi Sub & others who have got their head around the IR command flow,
First off I only have a microsoft remote, its the 2a version thats the one with the coloured buttons.
When I launch an new application such as an emulator GBPVR loses focus and would therefore lose the focus of the input, that I recall was the case back in 0.9x days of GBPVR. The expereince now is that if I press mute on the remote with an application launched GBPVR goes on mute as this is set to the main volume so does the application in focus, the same applies for up and down volume.
If I press the clear button which I believe sends esc then in most case the application I am running (emulatiors) will close and GBPVR will get focus at the position it was before I launched the app. This is all great!
I would like to be able to map other keys so that my plugin in GBPVR on receipt of these keys can react by send events to the launched application, however this doesnt seem to be working.
Could someone cut short what has already been an long bout of "discovery" testing for me and explain the IR command flow and any way I can capture that without using an external app like I have done in the past (used to use HIP)
Last night i uppgraded to the latest version.
And i read som posts in this excelent forum.
I've been using Zprocess to converting my recordings uptill now, but i figured that i should test the built in conversion to see if that works as well as zprocess. (i really would like to be able to use gb-pvr "right out of the box" and not have to install and tweak any plugins) this would save a lot of time when re installing the computer!
But now i realise that the recording from last night dident get converted, and i guess that that has something to do with the fact that i've been using zprocess.
What do i have to do to make it work?
Change any thing in postprocessing.bat?
Restore the original ffmpeg in "third party/ffmpeg" folder?
Any thing else?
so i'm back in action with gbpvr after a year or so away and It's hard to imagine life without it .
My question is as follows. I have the theater 550 ati card which does hardware mpeg encoding. I'd like to use the hardware mpeg encoder to encode the programs I intend to record. However, when I'm watching something I want to take advantage of the ffdshow filters so it looks pretty..
can I set it up this way or is this the default behavior? For instance when the recorder service kicks off and begins recording a scheduled program I asked it to, will it also apply the ffdshow filters or will it only do so when I'm watching the programs/playing back the recorded programs?
