I'd love to know where to go in the logs to look for certain types of problems. (Not that they happen much, good job Sub!)

Hi, I'm trying to get gbpvr set up. My system is XPMCE, ASUS M2A-VM HDMI MB (using the integrated graphics), and a Leadtek DTV1000T Tuner. The Tuner works fine in Mediaportal (but with very poor quality picture) and with the Leadtek PVR software (which has a great picture but not many cool features, plus its a bit buggy). Anyway, my issue with this software arises when trying to configure the capture source. I've used both an XMLTV download and the broadcast EPG and it always crashes out at varying points when you map digital channels to EPG channels and it scans through the various channels. I tried altering the region (and even teh country) to Any region to see if that would fix it but it still crashes out at some point in the scan, usually after its found a few channels. Depending on what selections I've made, I either get an "Unheralded exception" or (more usually) it crashes out completely, usually just disappearing completely with no error message.

Obviously it's not far off working because when it is scanning the channels I can actually see the picture in the preview box.

I'm grateful for any help!

Hi, I'm having problems with timeshifting, it doesn't work properly at all. After exactly 30s from the recording starting (I looked at the logs), with ForceAudioReferenceClock the video stops and audio and video starts repeating the last second of playback or so, with ForceAudioReferenceClock off it restarts the timeshift from the beginning at that point, this repeats over and over.

The events that seem to stand out and coincide with this happening include 'RenewLease 1' in both GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log and pvrx2.exe.log and 'BDARecorder::StartNewFile()' in GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log (this only seems to occur the first time with the ForceAudioReferenceClock off, then there are the succesive 'RenewLease 1' every 30s. Why is it trying to create a new file after 30s anyway?). It also does this around 5s in but continues on after 1 repeat (the first 'RenewLease 1'?).

Also I cannot change channels at all with timeshift, the picture just goes black and eventually goes to the menu screen. The log shows several errors when this happens then goes back to the menu screen, but the recording doesn't stop.

I'm using the TSReader patch from http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=43 as this fixes my no audio with timeshift problem. The same problem occurs both with and without the ForceAudioReferenceClock patch.

Thinking it might be related to the old '30s hick-up' bug in http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...+timeshift I found while searching, I tried setting the EPG to none, with no difference, but it still seems to attempt to update it anyway.

Logs are attached. Channel started playing at 22:32:13, let it repeat twice (ForceAudioReferenceClock was disabled as the same log entries are present for both, just none of the repeating) then attempted to change channels.

I tried to get the TerraTec Cinergy S2 CI, DVB-S2, PCI-Card (http://www.terratec.net/de/produkte/Cine..._1891.html) working with GBPVR v1.2.9.

This device is not listet in GB-PVR, but it has BDA-drivers.

I am attempting to setup my Leadtek Winfast DTV Dongle with GB-PVR to receive NZ Freeview in Kapiti.

I was a happy user of GBPVR a year or so ago and decided to fire it up again with my new computer. I installed the application and reinstalled my ati theater 550 in my new computer. I went through the old familiar setup but was troubled that the simple zap2it option for downloading EPG was no longer there. The only options that appear simple are pay sites!

So I started looking at the xmltv stuff and it looks to be a serious pain. Perhaps it isn't, but I can't find much info on how to set the thing up (yes I searched this forum). I downloaded the xmltv application or whatever it is and it's own documentation is wrong (it says I need to reference some _na folder that doesn't exist.

So where do I go to figure out how to set this up for north america??

Here is my scenario. I'm currently operating two computers, one for my main computing and what not, and then I have another one that is for the GBPVR Server/Home Server system. I have been thinking lately that I may get rid of my home server system, and put the two cards in the main computer and have everything slinged via MVP's or Popcorn or whatever to my bedroom and the basement home theater. I'm not looking for this to replace the basement home theater setup, but just another easy way for me to access media on my home theater.

My question is how does everyone here have they're home media center setup? Do you think I would be making a regretable mistake getting rid of the home server computer, and having only one computer doing all the work? (It has more than enough power with some big upgrades recently...) What do you all think?
