First of thanks for a wonderfull piece of software, seems like a lot of work has been put into this, and im really happy that there is an alternative to myIhome for us PCH(popcorn) users.
Tried the default install without patches and it works as expected. Read more on the forum, and got downloaded the "patch" collection with 3 files in it.
Went on to add the MAC-Specific entry ( got the macadress from the router, instead of checking the sticker underneath the pch-unit ).
Tried it and it never started up again ( workd on the computer running the gui ) but pch never seemed to work it out.
Restarted computer ( just in case something had to be reset and what not, its still a windows OS, so a reboot usually solves strange problems =) )
Everything started up, ran it succesfully on the computer, tried thru the PCH again, and it didnt work.
Okey i thought, maybe the config.xml is wrong, so i reverted back to the original (default) config.xml that worked before, Another reboot.
Still nothing, so i reverted back to the orginal files that was previously patched and now it works.
I would love for someone to make a Tutorial from scratch with screenshots and include installation tutorial for adding the hd-gui patches and what changes has to be done. Id be happy to take care of the First part, since that is what i got working.
My guess is that im not alone in having problems installing, and understanding this from a pch point of view.
Also, the movie-wiz plugin works perfect, loving it...
Just a quick question..
Which streams (codec wise) are the default SKY.FM and DI.FM net radio stations being used?
Is it possible alter the URL for these stations? Or would I have to add extra stations into the Net radio folder?
When using PVRX2 it takes the TV guide forever to completely update. It populates line by line. Take upwards of 7 mins to update it fully. I assume this is a processor issue?

Hi
At the moment i am using Hauppauge MVP, i also use the PVR USB2, now i will need to move the HDMI HD input.
I am guessing to get this right i would need to update my MVP hardware so it can do HD (HDMI / RGB / S-Video / Composite) output so it can handle the lower basic resolution of the current PVR USB2 then when i upgrade that theres already an output hardware i dont need to upgrade (as did it already).
With this in mind, i understnad there are a shed load of Media Tanks (basic hard drive stuff) but whats happening with the "accepted" MVP route here so it can be driven from GBPVR???
The basic idea of this question is to see what people are doing and how with regards MVP and HDMI and other outputs.
Just got round to upgrading and found that GB PVR was crashing as soon as the screen opened (via MVP). Did some testing and found the issue was Weather plugin (Sept 07 release). As ssoon as I uninstalled all was OK.
Has anyone had similar issues or is there a fix (CodeMonkey, Reven, Jeff ?)
I was getting GBPVR to the point of where I liked it. Was making plans for the Nspec router streaming - then - Verizon FIOS and Digital TV.
I see no way to make this work. I need some flavor digital to analog STB, and that's always tuned to channel3, and feeds the analog tuner of my Hauppague 1600. I can't remotely schedule TV programs any longer, except the last channel on the STB. Lest, the clean QAM channels which feed the digital tuner.
Am I missing something? Is there anyway to effectively continue using GBPVR with these rigid digital TV offerings?
How about a small progress bar or something running across the bottom of the rectangle around each show -- this would display whether / how much of the show has been watched? I know it'll be pretty simple: just take the frame index of the current position relative to the overall show length....but that just makes it easier to implement, right?
Ok, so I made a recording of CSI last night, in what looks like 1080i.
Now I'm not quite ready to jump though the hoops to get this to play back on my GBPVR system, and so would like to convert it to something a bit more common - XVID etc. Keeping it as HD.
Now remembering the NZ stuff is h.264 with AAC audio (for non New Zealanders) - any one know of a tool for converting it?? I've tried gordian knott, and that didn't like it. I've tried a transcode as well, and that did nothing.
