Hi I cannot use the Stream Now button. All I get is the error below. The "watch now" function works fine, so the VLC stuff seems to be in place. Also in config the VLC paths are all correct. However the problem appears when I use WMP option too...
Note, the translation for swedish "Det går inte att hitta filen" is "File not found".

Hi,
I am in the USA and have both Basic Cable and Satellite and use SchedulesDirect to get the program guide information. I have tried clearing and resetting the program guide but some channels persist in stating (no show details).
I contacted SchedulesDirect believing the problem was with the schedule. I was advised to download xmltv and run a manual test to retrieve the program information from SchedulesDirect. I followed the instructions and found that the test file did indeed contain the channel and program information including program titles.
I followed up and loaded version 1.2.9 of gbpvr, cleared and updated the program guide a few times but still to no avail. The main channel I am checking for is 150 SPEED on DISHTV but I notice that there are others with similar problems.
Channel 148 ESPNU shows the program information
Channel 149 FSC does not show program information
Channel 150 SPEED does not show program information
Channel 151 VERSUS shows program information
Channel 152 CSTV does not show program information
Channel 153 OUTDR shows program information
There does not seem to be a regular pattern to the channels that do not show program information.
I have looked at the logs after running the EPG Update and cannot find any errors. I did have errors if I disabled the recording service but this was not my normal modus operandi.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Regards,
Ian
WMP crashes playing any of these video files which perhaps is not surprising since there is filter no for .ts files. gbpvr also crashes
Scenario 2. Haapli Filter installed. WMP plays these files but with no audio (not surprising I guess) but also with very pixelated coloured images - can make it out some of the images. This is because I guess there is no accelerated video card present.
When the video is selected in gbpvr , it just returns to the list of videos with no error messages. The attached logs don't show anything strange apart from one crash but all files fail to play.
For some reason, the web admin doesn't work anymore.. I've never had any problems with it in the past. But now, even the local machine running GB-PVR can't access the web admin. I tried re-loading the EWA files from the wiki, but it made no difference. Running 1.2.9 and Vista Home Premium. Needless to say, restarting the recording service, changing the port via the config, etc. none have done the trick either.
Can anyone help me out here? I'm stumped.
I was wondering how you can move the mouse using the hauppauge remote. I tried turning on the the accessibility features in windows that makes the numpad emulate it. However, it works fine if you manually press the buttons but the hauppauge irremote won't do it with the remote presses for some reason.
I also tried a mouse emulation program and same thing: works fine manually doing it but the remote just won't.
Can anyone help me with getting my ATI 650 PCI to work for QAM?
I configured my source as "digital recording plugin" for ATI 650 PRO (QAM).
When I connect my cable to "TV" connector of my card, TuningAssistant only picks up analog channels! If I connect the cable to the other (DTV/FM) connector TuningAssistant won't pick up any channels...
I am using Comcast basic Cable, but my TV has a QAM tuner and picks up many QAM channels, so I know that they are available.
Do I need to enter manual tuning requests to get QAM going? If so, how do I determine the values that need to be entered?
Does anybody have a ATI 650 PCI working for QAM? Any tips?
This image looks nice
How do I change the setup/configuring for 1080i (1920x1080)?
I changed the MVP section in config.xml to that resolution and also
changed the mvpmcx2 startup command to
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -o hdmi -m 1080
but then only the "top left corner" (see attachment) of GBPVR was shown on my tv (a Sony KDL-40W2000, full HD capable). The TV says it's in 1080i mode, so that seems to be ok...
All patches are applied, and latest mvpmcx2 installed.
This is no biggie, 720p mode works fine, just wondering if I'm doing something wrong...
I have yet to start using gbpvr yet but I am trying to get some questions asked before I start. I currently have an older Dell SC420 server that I will be using as the media box. At this current time I don't plan on recording any TV programming as I have DirecTV satellite and I don't want to deal with a IR Blaster, plus I have dual TiVo units recording all my shows. Here is my plan. I will be using gbpvr along with a MVP to stream my backed up DVD's to a TV, question is do I have to convert the vob files to mpeg for gbpvr to work? What type of settings do I need to configure in gbpvr? and what codecâs will I need? I am hoping to get this working soon as my daughter is slowly ruining our DVD's. Please let me know if you need any more information. Thanks.
