Don't know if this is a GB-PVR or tuner card issue. Have Sapphire Theatrix550 card running on XP box. Has been used with monitor until recently when I setup as a trial next to 32" wide screen CRT TV.
I have a sky decoder running into composite input of tuner card, then composite out to amplifier. Second sky decoder output runs to another amplifier input. Amplifier acts as swich and composite to TV.
When running windows desktop or GB-PVR menu, TV is full (wide) screen. As soon as I start live TV, It shrinks to 4:3. The source direct from the sky to amplifier is wide screen.
Anyone know how to set up GB-PVR, or the card to achieve the correct aspect ratio?? Have toggled the 16:9 / 4:3 selection without change.
anyone else having this problem? i assume its from the daylight savings time since the listings are one hour behind right now.
the zap2it website shows things proper though and i though SD was getting there stuff from them?
The very first program I recorded on GBPVR (1.1.5), had a thumbnail for the show on the recordings menu. Ever since, no more thumbnails. I have them on TV listings no problem, but just not on recordings. At that time, I hadn't loaded the system up with many plugins either (don't know if that had anything to do with it.)
I am running version 1.2.9 of GBPVR and no matter what dongle I try I don't have control over playback... recordings start playing, and then I cannot pause, ff, rw or even stop. I am stumped as to what's causing it... the remote works fine with stopping or pausing live TV so it's not the remote... I tried disabling the firewall, different dongles, different multiplexers, new batteries, a clean install of 1.2.9, has anyone got any suggestions ?
Well I just made the jump back to Satellite this weekend. I was so ready. Comcast being the poor reception provider that it is. So, I'm all giddy Friday and accumulate the needed parts to build my serial to phone plug channel changer cable. I've got the utility downloaded from Wiki also.
The AeroSat guy can't come out Saturday as there's tornados all around us in Woodstock, Ga. He came out Sunday, SWEET!
Got a problem though. The receivers he installed are D12-100. They don't have the home control port on the back. They have an USB port.
Does anyone know of a way to control the box via the USB port? I can't find it online yet, if there is.
If not, will the Hauppauge blaster config "learn" the keypad commands from the DirecTV remote? Anyone had success with this?
Have a Leadtek DTV2000H PCI capture card installed on vista using the 3223 vista drivers.
Mediaportal installed with TV Server (latest svn's with LATM AAC codec).
GB-PVR 1.2.9 installed with COREAVC codec selected for h.264 streams.
I set the bda plugin to Mt kaukau in wellington, and it finds the signal for all three transponders but the channel scan always comes back with no channels.
Can find them all with mediaportal TV server but in the last couple of days the mediaworks stations havent shown. (C4 and prime).
im totally new to this, and am trying to set one of these up
i have ethernetted my whole house, and now have a fairly decent pc under the stairs (2gb ram, 3 g cpu or something, swiped from work ) with a nova-t 500 dual thingy pci card and a single mvp (for now) at the other end
anyhow, after tryin to read myself throught the config documentation, i have finally gotten to the point of settin up the capture source(s) set two up as the card is dual.. aparently..
and cant remember quite where it did it, but it found all the channels, and now if i go to the channel tab on the config, all the channels are there..
however, when trying to watch live tv from the MVP i get nothing..
if i try the PVRX2 - i get vmr9 not supported on this pc..
so i set it to vmr7.. or at least i thought i did, but still .. well unable to watch these channels, (the ones i actually saw running as it was looking for them initially - so clealry there is enough signal etc) just cant get the damn thing to work
im sure i have simply missed something (fingers x'ed) but any pointers would be gratefully recieved, as the only aerial coax now lives under the stairs, so cant actually ever watch tv again if i cant get this working..
the mrs will beat me// please help
im thinking that it may have something to do with the epg.. but sure that was .. seemingly working before, hence me seeing all the channels as it searched for that first time..
i am assuming i can use the DVB EPG, rather than the xml one, but maybe im barking up the wrong tree..
thanks in advance - i hope
