Can I disable "Delayed Standby" after is has been requested?
Posted by: HarryH3 - 2008-02-16, 05:08 PM - Forum: Slimm GB-PVR and GBPVRcli - Replies (49)

I've been trying to get my PC to go into standby and while testing the other night I managed to get Slimm GB-PVR into the delayed standby mode while it was doing a test recording. I tried to figure out how to cancel the standby request, but I didn't see an option to do that. When the recording ended, the system went directly into standby, even though I was actively using it at the time. Is there a way to tell Slimm GB-PVR to "nevermind" when I see the standby icon flashing?

Thanks!

Will GBPVR run on Windows-XP 64bit?
Will there ever be a 64bit GBPVR? Smile

  Goes Standby when playing music
Posted by: ydekmekji - 2008-02-16, 02:21 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I have the version prior of 1.1.5 running. I have discovered that sometimes when I have just music playing, the PC will go into standby. In other words, the PC thinks that it has been idle for however many minutes. Does playing audio under GBPVR not communicate that the PC is in fact not idle? Anyway of manipulating that?

Multidec setup (Viaccess, cardreader, Yankse, WinCSC, NewCS..)
Posted by: nkh - 2008-02-16, 12:32 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (5)

Now that I have my DVB-C card working with FTA channels, I'd like to get a bit further and get to view all the channels I've paied for Wink

Maybe my Google-skills aren't up to it, but I'm having quite bad luck trying to find a detailed guide/explanation on how these Multidec parts fit together and how they should be configured. So I'm hopeing someone here can point me in the right direction.

This is what I've now:

  • GB-PVR v1.1.5
  • a Twinhan DVB-C CI (AD-CP300 / 2033)
  • a Phoenix/Smartmouse cardreader, running in Phoenix mode
  • a digital cable tv connection from YouSee (in Denmark)
  • a Viaccess subscription card from YouSee

I've tried to follow this guide: http://www.hyperlinkx.com/pmwiki/pmwiki....s.MultiDec

But it looks like I can't get the parts to talk together correctly, maybe I've chosen the wrong components, maybe I've set it up wrong, I'm not quite sure  but I'll try to break it down so you can see what I've done...

MultiDec API
  • Downloaded it from http://www.hyperlinkx.com/pmwiki/pmwiki....s.MultiDec
  • mdapifilter.ax - v1.1.6.0

NewCS v1.50
  • I run it with this command:
    Code:
    c:\Programmer\newcs-1.50\win32\newcs.exe -c c:\Programmer\newcs-1.50\configs\newcs.xml.windows
  • I changed this in newcs.xml.windows:
    • The com port
    • and set the radegastserver part like this:
      Code:
      <radegastserver> <enabled>yes</enabled> <port>16000</port> <allow> <hostname>localhost</hostname> </allow> </radegastserver>
  • When I run it, I get this output (I noticed that it finds my Viaccess smartcard, so I assume it's working):
    Code:
Reading Config file from c:\Programmer\newcs-1.50\configs\newcs.xml.windows TCP-log password is enabled, set to: NewCSpwd TCP-log set to simple mode level: normal type: init output: console, tcp logger config: level 1 type 3 output 5 Console log options: level 1 type 3 TCP log options: level 1 type 3 [ 12:13:14 ] [ Box detect ] Windows XP Build 2600 [ 12:13:14 ] [ Config ] Value in <ipk> for device 0 (Phoenix Interface) is INVALID, skipping... • When I start a recording in GB-PVR on an encrypted channel it gives this message:
    Code:
    [ 12:53:11 ] [ SockSrv ] New connection from 127.0.0.1 on socket 884 [SSL 0]
So I assume one of the Multidec plugins are connecting to it

WinCSC v1.2.0.2483 - I'm not sure what this should do..
  • I have set it up to use radegast like this:
(I blurred the key eventhough it looks like a placeholder or something, it's not always there, sometimes the field is just blank)

Yankse v1.3.2.1/U TT
  • My yankse.ini looks like this:
    Code:
    [yankse] Disabled=0 Log=0 LogECM=0 LogPMT=0 LogFirstECM=0 ReadPMT=1 AutoECM=1 FilterBogusECM=0 FilterUnknownECM=0 AllowAutoPIDS=1 LogBadKeys=0 LogCW=0 CWDelay=0 ShowOSD=1 ForcePMTCA=1 Language=0409-ENU [CardServer] server=127.0.0.1 port=1001 enabled=1
  • Most of the time the monitor window is blank except for the [* PMT:] field showing "0(0x0000)" and the [SID:] field showing the same..

When I try to record something on an encryptet channel in GB-PVR I just get a 4KB dvr-ms file, and this is what gets logged in GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log: GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native-log-16-02-2008-multidec.txt

Am I missing something in my setup? Is something setup wrong?

Any help will be much apreciated!

Has anyone one found a simple method of marking programs in digiguide to set off recordings in GBPVR. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Comskip quality on HD worse then expected
Posted by: erik - 2008-02-16, 10:30 AM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (2)

Someone send me a HD TS recording and I discovered that Comskip could not detect the audio in that recording
If you find the detection quality of Comskip worse then expected do check if audio has been detected
Set
verbose=1
in the comskip ini file and look at the end of the log file for a line that says
Maximum volume found: 17932
If the max volume found is 0 then no audio has been found and I invite you to test build 116 on my server to see if that solves the problem.

Video Library resume or restart prompt logic
Posted by: Kyle - 2008-02-16, 02:33 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Once an entry has been created in the playback_position table is there any way for it to be deleted ? It seems like it should get deleted on successful completion of the video to avoid prompting next time the video is played. The problem I am having is if I have ever stopped a video I will always be prompted to resume or restart it every time I play it again. I don't want to disable the prompt because it's very useful when necessary. I only have this problem in the Video Library since the Recordings shows the Resume button. Is there a setting I can tweak to change this behavior ?

Thank you,

Kyle

Can't get EPG to update with DVB-T
Posted by: mmacintyre - 2008-02-15, 10:07 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi,
I am brand new to gbpvr, I got it installed with no issues. I am trying to configure my DVB-T tuner in the config setup. The config recognizes the card (it is a usb) but when I try and do an EPG update the window pops up and says it might take some time, but then it disappears and nothing happens, I can't get it to scan for the channels. I am living in Germany and through other programs I can get channels with no problems. It seems that GBPVR doesn't even try to scan. I may be doing something totally wrong but I am not sure and can't find anything online that guides in the right direction. Any help would be great I'm am dying to get this going.

thanks!

What can and can't be done?
Posted by: mymymy - 2008-02-15, 09:24 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (4)

Hi,

Just started using GBPVR, and I'm impressed. I have a program which I use for managing TV I have downloaded, remembering which episode I'm up to, letting me know which series have new eps to watch. 1 click watch of the next ep of a series etc etc. I'd like to put a front end on it so I can access it from GBPVR main menu. Is this possible? What restrictions are there on what can and can't be done? Can someone recommend a sample simple plugin to start with?

thanks!
