I'm using the blaster that came with the pvr 150 kit. It's attached to my STB and every slight movement would cause it to stop transmitting correctly.
Are there any stronger blasters available, or any other solution?
Under the old version of gbpvr I had this very issue, and there was a fix which worked perfectly
I've now re-installed on a vista 32 machine, using the latest gbpvr, and get exactly the same issue - i've tried using the previous fix but this doesn't work under vista or with the latest version (ie it won't even start)
Has anyone else experienced same problem under 1.1.5 as unable to find anything in the survival guide.
As I switched over from SW "myhtpc" I get a very basic trouble: i do not get gbpvr started! I read wiki and installation notes for new release. I´ve installed
.net 2.0 and vcredist_x86.zip. As I am using Win2k (I would prefer to use that OS further - system requirements are not so high as winXP) I installed MDAC2.6 as described on gbpvr.com. Error message when trying to start any part of gbpvr:
unhandled exeption has occurred in your application. The module could not be found (exception from HRESULT: 0x8007007E)
Am I right, that latest release 1.1.5 is suitable for win2k too?
Has anybody got same instalation troubles?
I've been upgrading from v0.96.12 to 1.01.05. Before I could do a search and then schedule a recording. Now I can search for a show, but can't schedule a recording anymore from Search Guide.
I've tried hitting F1 in the TV Guide, but no search box appear
In the past when ever I've converted a file to xvid of divx, I've suffered from a sound synch problem - quite large after 15 mins or so (about a second every 15 mins).
Is there any way ot sort this out? I've never fiddled with any settings in congif.xml or anything. I have sorted this problem out now - I purchased a larger hard disk - but it would be know for future knowledge.
Hi, i am a relative newbie to this. having got gb-pvr working now i wonder if anyone can help...
i have recorded some programs that i now want to watch on my tv, by burning them onto dvd. i have tried to do this as is but my buring software doesn't like it [not sure why], but i also want to be able to put 3 or 4 programs onto a dvd at one go.
as it stands the program size is about 1.5gb, if i use the convert to 1200kbs wmv i get a smaller file but but quality goes. is there any way of telling the conversion to compress at about 3500kbs to improve quality and get a file about half the size of the original.
i tried the divx encoder and the quality was very poor when played back on my lcd tv.
can i do this by changing any of the system files or is there a freeby program that i can use to do this conversion.
i would rather let gb-pvr do it as it happens automatically, but perhaps it wont allow me.
I had my GBPVR computer set up and working fine in the UK, but now I´ve moved to Spain and need to change things.
I need to connect a Sky (UK) Digibox to the computer, as it´s the only way I can receive English TV here. In another thread, Sub told me that my current TV card´s S-Video & Composite inputs (a Compro T200) won´t work with GBPVR.
So I need to dip into the coffers again and get another card. Which one would be best, bearing in mind I only need to connect a STB to it and not tune in to TV broadcasts over here?
I´ve also found out that both the STB´s I have don´t output S-Video via the scart lead so will I have to connect via a composite input?
And lastly, how do I connect the sound output from the STB to the PC? I´ve just tried connecting the audio outputs from the STB to the line-in on my soundcard, and I get sound. However, I always get sound via the computer even when I´m doing nothing else unless I switch the STB off. Am I doing it wrong again?
Is it possible to change the time order in the name of the recording?
I mean, now it's like this: Kanal 4_20071123203510.mpg (2007y 11m 23d 20h35m 10s).
And I would like to have it like this: Kanal 4_23.11.2007.mpg (only with the date, no time and if possible with the "dot" between the date.month.year).
