NPVR server in the lounge v4 NPVR, Kodi on pc's, tablets etc around the house. This evening the kitchen pc windows/kodi v16 gets stuck on updating NPVR channels/programs, it's been good as gold for 5+ years.
Re-boot both - same, each can see each other on the network.
Check previously working config on android tablet, kodi quits after 30sec of pvr update.
Install kodi on 2 day old laptop, all good until I add the NPVR addon and configure it, then Kodi quits after 30 seconds.
On the kitchen pc I uninstalled the nextpvr addon to kodi, now I can't even get it back to kodi configuration state, it wont install from a zip or repo.
Not sure whats going on and could do without more home IT issues, it's frustrating because I've changed nothing (to my knowledge ...
I'm totally new to NextPTR as of today. It's using 100% of the NVidia 1080 GPU, most of it 3D. Is this normal? If not, how should I troubleshoot this please? I did try to search the web and this forum and had no success.
The CPU use surprises me, too. I'm using a Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1265. The CPU is an Intel I9-11900. Temperatures are all in the expected range. The OTA video is working. I have run the EPG setup. And, I'm now recording a news broadcast. This is the version from the official website and not the Windows store. Thanks in advance for your help. :-)
I was reorganizing my recorded tv storage onto a larger disk. I did so by just copying the files from the old recordedtv disk to the new one. I made the mistake of pointing nextpvr at the new disk before all the files were copied, and so the automatic cleanup thought the files were gone (which they were temporarily) and removed them from the database, as expected.
I've been trying to get them loaded back into the database without success. Using the export/import process only gets the few files that are in the database, which I'm guessing were the only ones copied when the database cleanup ran.
I found some other threads on here with bat files and powershell scripts but they did not work either.
Is there a way to make nextpvr read all of the files in the recordedtv folder and add them to the database? They are all .ts files that were recorded by nextpvr.

which ended up with the original .ts files in question being reimported to NextPVR via the NextImport utility.

Please add a way to sort by SeasonEpisode. The UI puts SeasonEpisode after the show title, so sort by A-Z sorts by the title, not season episode, and with SeasonEpisode at the end, I cannot do a visual scan to know what I should watch next (screenshot attached). For old shows, sort by recording date is seldom correct.
Give me the option to put the SeasonEpisode at the beginning of the show title, so a sort A-Z puts the recordings in SeasonEpisode order. Remove the parentheses to save space.

Was a solution ever found to have Kodi clients put the channels on the "correct" channel numbers, as in the LCNs that NextPVR uses from the broadcaster?
I noticed this bug the other day when arrowing through the Now Playing menu, where the menu position will unpredictably jump to somewhere else in the channel list. I made a video, as it's easier to watch it happen than to try to describe it.
Different bug, so I made a separate thread. I've seen this happen two times during testing. Basically, after having a stream paused for a while (maybe 30 minutes, see log for exact timing), and then continuing to watch the program up to the point where a new program comes on (a differently named program), the stream will exit. It should keep playing.
