Does anyone know what Bloatware/settings could be removed from windows to make win 10 more lean and still allow NextPVR operate without issue?
I'm running Version: 5.1.2.210603
of a Windows 7 64bit machine
This time when I try and schedule Restaurant: Impossible on channel 58 the error pops up.
Even if I try and do a manual recording on that channel at that time I get the error pops up.
My Windows backend server running nextPVR V5 has a Hauppauge quad tuner. As a test, I had 3 Kodi Matrix clients tune to local channel 7 exactly at 6 PM. I then went to the backend server to see how the tuners were allocated. I was expecting all 3 clients to be assigned to one tuner. But to my surprise, one client was assigned to tuner 1 and two clients were assigned to tuner 2.
If I had wanted to record 3 additional channels, either I would have been prevented from doing so or one of the tuners assigned to live TV clients would have been hijacked.
I'm curious, why weren't all three clients requesting the same channel assigned to only one tuner?

I finally upgraded to ver 5. 5.1.2 and am unable to change a few of the default settings under the client settings page. Unable to change to start in full screen and the channel header setting. I click on the changes I want to make but it does not save them for me. I do not see a save button on this screen.
Any advise would be great.

Hi! New user here, running version 5.1.2.210603 on a Raspberry Pi 3 (installed using deb file to Raspbian)
Bit new to Linux, but it's mostly working great! However I've found that the EPG update (both manual, and the overnight one) usually (like about 4 times out of 5) seems to tie up the tuner and I need to restart the Pi for it to start playing or recording TV again.

Recordings worked well all day - the last one being 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' at 12:49:01 am to 2:02:00 am
Overnight EPG Update runs at 2:44 am
Next recording (Pokemon) at 3:51 am fails with an 'operation has timed out' error. Any subsequent recordings will fail with the same error, until I restart the Pi.
Looking at the log device-adaptor0.log, it appears there's an endless stream of 'Received XXX bytes from device so far' from starting at 2:47am, so I'm guessing the update is kicking off something that never finishes. When I run it manually and this happens, the UI does indicate that the update had finished.
Any ideas what's happening? Tuner is a cheap generic device that I got from eBay, so I'm guessing it could be the weak link here, but thought I'd ask before I shell out for something a bit fancier.
I am using the latest version of Raspberry OS 32 bit and the latest version of NextPVR. I am trying to record and watch tv using my WD Mycloud as a recording storage/mycloud. I have successfully mounted a wd mycloud share using the following line on my fstab file -
It works fine as I can write to the share no problem from the raspberry pi. When I try to watch a channel though I get a Failed to start requested them error. Here is the error that shows up in the log.

I cannot record anything either.
I also tried in accordance to another thread that I saw on the NextPVR blog to change the credentials under which the service runs from user nextpvr to user pi group pi - but that never worked. I got some kind of internal error on the screen and here is the type of error I received in the log.
If I do not use the wd mycloud to record/watch tv, NextPVR performs fine. I even tried unmounting the wd mycloud from the pi and tried to write to the same directory to which the wd mycloud was mounted and it worked.
I am far from an expert in Linux. I have spent way too many hours on this issue and am just about ready to give up on it. Anyways, any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Is there a way to add a channel manually in v5? I did a search and read a thread from 2018, but that apparently doesn't apply to v5. I've gone to Settings>Devices but apparently my only option once I get there is to pick a device and re-scan. The channel I'm interested in adding is KTXA, virtual channel 21-1, physical channel 18.
I just did a re-scan on one of my tuners (I have 6), and the channel did not show up in the results. The tuner I scanned is a Hauppauge WinTV-7164 BDA ATSC/QAM Tuner (ATSC). I have two of these and 4 Hauppauge WinTV 885 ATSC Tuner/Demod (ATSC) tuners
When I scan three TVs in my house, the subject channel shows up, so it's there and the signal quality is OK.
