  Evr?
Posted by: andrew_macaluso - 2007-11-13, 12:03 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (14)

Not to sound like too much of an idiot, but WTF is EVR? I selected it and it (the video) works, but I don't really notice anything. Not that that's a bad thing, btw! I can't be the only one who doesn't know what it is and what it does.

Does EVR take the place of a video decoder? Does it affect the decoder?

  EPG offset?
Posted by: daiceman - 2007-11-13, 12:02 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hey, for some reason, my computers time is off from my cable provider's time, by about 3-4 minutes. Is there a way for my to offset this? Or do I just need to pad shows by a larger amount?

  Issues using S/PDIF
Posted by: nchamp - 2007-11-12, 11:41 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (30)

With the switch to PVRX2, and the associated ability to use GBPVR to play DVDs (which I couldn't with my Hauppauge 350 card), I got myself an optical cable to hook the SPDIF output from my PVR to my A/V amp.

But I can't *quite* get it to work - the A/V amp reports that it is getting a digital signal, but no sound comes out. It plays 2 channel music files just fine over the SPDIF cable, tho. When I look at the audio options in the GBPVR config, I either can't see any SPDIF options, or they're greyed out.

Can anyone give any advice on getting SPDIF working?

Thanks in advance

Champ

  how to add a plugin
Posted by: fluffykeith - 2007-11-12, 09:16 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (2)

OK - I have search around and come up with nothing. So here is my stupid question of the day.
How do I add, enable and configure a plugin?

I have 1.1.5 installed and am trying to add plugins that are in the list for an earlier version but a assume they are forward compatible.

Specifically I am trying to add the screensaver and the touchscreen plugins.

Now Ive added then to the Plugins folder and put the skins for the screen saver and the required utilities in the skins/blue folder. Then I put the .dll's in the main GBPVR folder.

So the next thing the instructions say is:
Set screen saver options via the config app

Where is it? I assume on the plugins tab but where I can't see anything.
What else should I do?

Keith

  [QUESTION] GB-PVR 1.1.5 access to optical drive
Posted by: ShiningDragon - 2007-11-12, 07:52 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi sub!

I just had an experience which is not really nice. While watching Live TV, i installed some Applications via optical Drive. Every time i inserted a medium and closed the door, PVR startet to begin to stuttering.
While installing i had to exit live tv and reenter this, so the stuttering gone away. After every change of medium the stutters came back.

It looks like, that GB-PVR everytime tries to access to the medium for doing (nothing? anything? I don't know).

Is there any autostart function within GB-PVR added? This experience is new and wasn't at older versions.

I am using the PVRX2 Interface. Thanks for any hints!

  Calling NextPlaylistTrack() clears playlist
Posted by: InVermont - 2007-11-12, 07:04 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I am using version 1.1.5
here is the snippit of code I'm having trouble with. I have queued a playlist using AddAudioFileToQueue, and all seems to be fine.

int a, b, c;
IList l = myPluginHelper.GetAudioPlayList(out a, out b, out c);
log ("File Count: " + l.Count.ToString()); // accurate count of items

PluginHelperFactory.getPluginHelper().NextPlaylistTrack();

IList j = myPluginHelper.GetAudioPlayList(out a, out b, out c);
log("File Count: " + j.Count.ToString()); // 1, the currently playing track

Is it me?
Thanks

  3 Tuners - recordings being cut off
Posted by: psycik - 2007-11-12, 06:44 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

My recording of shorty street is being cut off most days if there is something else to be recorded on another channel.

I checked the pvr500 has an instance 1 and 2 and the hvr3000 also has tv3.

Just looked through these logs and I can see it using instance 1 for shorties, and for 60 minutes. Hoping you can help figure out why.
