I thought I had gbpvr all set up, but I have now found some of my mp3 files won't play although they do from windows media player.
Do I have to add extra audio codec's to get it to work?
bought new hauppage 1600, set to bda & successfully downloaded FTA HD local EPG. when i go to "map digital channels to epg channels" none are found. if i use the "Tuning Assistant" all desired channels are detected. what am i doing wrong?
Occasionally the recording service seems to forget to stop recording, so I come back to the machine & see the Tray icon reporting 'Recording show XYZ -604 minutes left'. Often the machine is at 100% CPU with recording service using it all!
The only cure is to 'Kill' the recording process via task manager which leaves the show as a 0 byte file. The machine is unusable so it is not easily possible to do any investigation prior to killing the process.
Surely the recording process checks that the end time is not in the past rather than just checking to see if end time = current time?
It is just possible that this is being caused by shutting the machine down (either off or standby) while the recording is running... but as I see the problem several hours afterwards I cannot be sure!
When I start GB PVR, it always keeps starting recording a file in the directrory C:\\, and I can't find out how to get it to stop. It made a 4.27GB untill I found out.
So I have had to move to my laptop untill this problem is fixed and it is really very annoying.
There are seperate setups for where you review your recordings and where you listen to music. I have seen multiple threads regarding plugins, playlists, and the mix of recordings and music. i think it would be neat if there was an added feature (another option on the main menu) to build simple playlists pulling from all media directories, both video and music.
Simple options like add to playlist, remove from playlist, save/load playlist would be awesome.
I have spoken to Sub on occasion regarding the current music players and how they seem to always require the colored Hauppauge buttons. I think it would be great if a a media playlist builder was all based on selectable menus with the arrow keys and "select" on your remote. (I have an M$ remote with no colored buttons )
I know this is doable with Event Ghost and Hip, but it is not quite intuitive how to set them up.
Hi,
I am looking for a way to get rid of the delays that occurs when sending the mvp remote control commands using the MVP to the GBPVR MVP server that resides on the PC.
What I had in mind is a wireless remote to control the PC directly. This means that GBPVR will have to be controlled when it is streaming to the MVP.
My question is if anyone on this forum have any ideas on how to do this or if there is no way of remote controlling, then getting rid of the delays.
I know that network optimization will help. But I have some settings in place for that.
I just got a HDTV tuner, and i was wondering what resolution i should be using on my lcd tv. Should i be using the 1080i equilivent or the 720p equilivent resolution for my tv? I'm just worried about clipping or blurryness when playing back the videos.
