I've recently started getting regular problems with zero length recordings on a Nova-T-500 dual tuner (single antena input). I thought I would see if there was any sort of pattern, so...
I took a backup and copied empty.db3 over the top of gbpvr.db3. I added the first tuner and scanned for channels - it found all the channels on the first mux, but no channels on the other 5 muxes. I added the second tuner and scanned - it found all the channels on all 6 muxes.
Since both tuners share the same antena and cable, I'm assuming that it's a hardware problem... unless anybody has any other ideas...
ok, well i'm new to the PVR thing as well as GBPVR.
i've messed around w/ tv tuners years ago before the PVR thing was even really around as it is now but never did i have a IR blaster or anything like that.
well now i'm sittingh ere w/ my new PVR 150 MCE, came with a MCE remote (its none of the 4 on the wiki, its black and has an extra buton underneath all the colors, doesn't say microsoft or hauppauge on it. but its definately an MCE remote though. any idea what it is?
and also, i'd like to have the green button open GBPVR exclusively, i had read somewhere on some forum (i've done a lot of searching the past few days, forgive the vagueness please ) and i remember seeing something about modifying a .ini file. any idea what that is? or is there any better of a way? not only would i like the green button exclusive, but every button
oh, not just that, but now i'm wondering how to get it to properly change my directv's set-top-box. i have the tv guide all set up, a subscription to schedules direct and yet i can't see to get it setup right. when i press buttons on the remote the receiver flashes red so its recognizing it, but it doesnt seem to effect the directv box at all. any help?
system is:
vista ultimate x64
hauppauge wintv pvr 150 MCE
MCE remote and IR Blaster
and directv D11 set-top-box
please help it's a lot of questions i know but if you want to answer just one i'd prefer the one about getting it to change the directv box more than anything so i dont have to use 2 remotes.
thanks much, and sorry for the lots of questions thing... i DID search a lot though
I need help working out how to make this remote work.
I have windows xp sp2. I also have the MCE remote and bean bag that are made by SMK. The SMK bean bag model number is Smk Bb Rx6000-0141e. I got the drivers installed out of KB912024, and now it works, but I have "sticky keys". If you hold the button down for more then a n 1/8 of a second, it repeats that command until another is pressed. I believe this is due to improper RC6 codes, which you can change in the registry ( or in the irbus.inf ).
Below is some guy on the hauppauge site who I think has the same remote, and worked out the remote codes for lirc.
So, anybody know how to translate the below into the inf file information?
If you call XmltvGUI.exe from UpdateEPG.bat you still have to click on the "Grab Listings" button with the mouse or nothing will happen. Anyone know any ways round this?
Using 1.0.16 the picture library displays thumbnails *really* slowly, 2 at a time. when you have thousands of pictures this is too annoying to be functional when paging down. I have a thumbs.db file in the folder but this makes no diference.
previous versions were much faster showing thumbs, can anything be done?
also is it possible to zoom in 1.0.16 like older versions?
I loaded the config file for the MCEremote from the wiki for my remote that came with avermedia m780 capture card. It works well, except that in guide and tv watching the up and down and ok buttons click twice everytime I push them down. The remote looks almost identical to the MCE 2005v2a remote, except for one button in the picture. Any idea how I can get hte up/down to only click once?
This is odd, i have 2 installs (a server which is working absolutly fine and a laptop which sort of turned in to a test system while the EWA Channel icons was fixed).
This laptop has v1.0.16 on it and seems to work, however it doesnt seem to be taking the ISO Daemon tools program and storing it, what do i need to look for to check why?
There is no CDROM drive on this laptop either, however i DO have Daemon tools installed (same version as the fully working server 3.47).
