  Name of dongle.bin.config?
Posted by: forzaKGB - 2007-11-05, 10:04 AM - Forum: MVPMC dongle - Replies (9)

I have a question, I've seen the information on the mvpmc share in several places. I am thinking of creating a config file to autostart the MVP in emulation mode.

My question is, should the config file be named dongle.bin.config even though the dongle itself is named something else (like dongle-mvpmc-xxxx.bin)?
xxxx is the version of the mvpmc dongle (I have re-named it so that I have the original dongle.bin to revert to if any problems arise and I also know what version I am running)?

  Internet Explorer click sound
Posted by: agerdin - 2007-11-05, 08:18 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can disable the "click" sound in Internet Explorer. It is the sound that plays as you are clicking links or selecting a new page. Since we are using the same computer for HTPC as for other stuff, it is annoying when someone in the family is browsing the net where others are trying to watch things in GBPVR.

TIA,

\\Agerdin

Is there a chance of making this work?
Posted by: ljbeng - 2007-11-05, 01:46 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I have the EPIA M10000 1GHZ with TV out, 512MB ram, PVR150, 250GB Drive. This is a dedicated PVR only. I have all installed and am running pvrx2. I cannot view Live Tv or play back recorded video without stutter and CPU going to 100%.

I can record fine. I can play those recordings back in MediaPlayer9 and they play back just fine but they do not play under gbpvr or pvrx2 without stutter.

I installed the .ax files mv..something that I read about in another thread but that didn't help.

I am so close to closing the lid on this project but I could start over with a new mother board (and larger case) if I have to. Thanks.

  PVRX2 Crashes on Exit
Posted by: Landru - 2007-11-05, 01:45 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

When I use the PVRX2 interface on the PVR box, it chashes on exit and XP wants to send an error report to Microsoft. There are some erros at the end of the logs, which are zipped and attached. Any ideas out there?

How do you Center MVP menu on TV screen?
Posted by: kam25 - 2007-11-04, 11:32 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (3)

I'd like to shift the MVP menu over a little to the left to center it on the TV screen.....if I remember correctly, this is a setting in the config.xml file, but I don't remember what it's called..... can anyone tell me what line it is that must be changed?
Thanks

  Video library tab in EWA
Posted by: adrian_vg@yahoo.com - 2007-11-04, 11:04 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (5)

Hi all,

The Video library tab in EWA and the video-folders I see in there, do not always show the contents. Do I have to do something special to make EWA see the contents, or should the contents just show up?

I use PVRX2 1.0.16.

TIA.

  Change order of capture devices
Posted by: donschjr - 2007-11-04, 10:58 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I have a pvr 150 and hvr 1600. i want the hvr 1600 qam side to be the first recording device since many of my channels are available in digital which I have mapped to it. When I move the 1600 qam to the top of my capture sources list in config and ok out then restart config my 1600 qam is moved back down the list. I can put the 150 or the analogue side of the 1600 to the top of the list and they stay. Is there a file I can edit to get the desired results? I had this working the way I wanted before I rebuilt my pc over the weekend.

  XBMC script interpreter

The most popular scripts are ones that display online video. Your Youtubes and the like. A lot of work has been done there that gbpvr could take advantage of.

  HD video capture from STB
Posted by: ram4x4nut - 2007-11-04, 10:26 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (23)

Hi all,

Still trying to figure out how to do this. Right now I have an HVR-1600 and I can record ATSC channels. I am thinking about going to digital cable, which means I have to have an HD STB from the cable company (Cox). With an STB my 1600 will be pretty much useless. The only outputs on the STB that are enabled are component and dvi. What kind of video capture card will work with component or dvi out from the STB, and will work with GBPVR? I know this seems like a really basic question but I really can't find a workable solution. Even if I have to build a whole new PC to do it I will, I just want something that will work for this!

TIA,

Ram

  MUX Record
Posted by: BrainStormer - 2007-11-04, 10:07 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

It would be nice to be able to record an entire mux and take it apart later.
In my area, All the Local Channels in SD are sent in one MUX So all could be recorded Simultaneously. I suppose this would be added to manual recordigs first.

But it would be good to have the logic in place eventually to check for multiple secedueld recording on the same mux and only use 1 tuner if they share a mux.
