  Special characters in find show
Posted by: Mester - 2007-11-01, 10:59 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi,

I use GBPVR with the new interface, but I have a problem.
If I want to find a show in the TV guide with pressing F1 I can not enter special characters (áéíóöőúüűWink. With the old interface it works fine but not with PVRX2.

  Quartz DLL issues?
Posted by: bgowland - 2007-11-01, 10:28 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (4)

Can someone remind me what the problems are with certain versions (or is it just one version?) of quartz.dll? Also which version is recommended in general?

Cheers,
Brian

DVB EPG gone after 1.0.1.16 upgrade
Posted by: Don Tom - 2007-11-01, 10:10 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

After upgrading to 1.0.1.16 one month ago my EPG is totally gone. Anyone else having problems with DVB EPG? My digibox picks it up just fine, but not PVRX2.

Much appreciated if someone could look into this, I would really like to use it....

DVB-T timestamp prob, any analyse s/ware?
Posted by: martint123 - 2007-11-01, 09:58 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (20)

I'm beginning to have more problems skipping back and forth on recordings made from DVB-T channels, it would appear to be only on some channels, but I don't have enough data to be sure of this. (gut feeling is ITV and "dave" from Belmont tx).
The sort of thing that happens is that when the first commercials come on after around 15 minutes, then skipping forward (default time, 30sec?) only goes forward a few seconds - later on, a forward skip might actually go backwards.
I'm currently using the .1307 cyberlink mux and will go over to the mux thread in a moment and grab some more to test. I'm wondering if there are any programs out there that can do a quick scan of an mpeg file to see if there are any timeline problems. The change mux, record an hour, try it out - seems to take for ever for each interaction.

  Can't Watch What is Recording
Posted by: fausto - 2007-11-01, 09:37 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (45)

New setup and I have never tried this before so it's probably easily fixed but I can't find it.

I select a program from the guide, select "record" and gbpvr starts to record. I then go back up the menu and select "Live TV". I get a warning that I only have one tuner so I can either watch nothing or watch what is recording. I select watch what is recording and I get nothing, or more precisely a black screen with no sound.

Any ideas?

  Tv Card Options
Posted by: gargamel - 2007-11-01, 07:56 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (4)

Hello, i am working in my first HTPC and i like install my old Avermedia AverTv analog card with chip conexant 878 and buy an HAUPPAUGE WINTV NOVA T500 PCI dual TDT. This two cards works fine with GB-PVR?
My other option is combine the HAUPPAUGE WINTV NOVA T500 PCI with an HAUPPAUGE WINTV-HVR-1300 HYBRID + FM PCI, the problem in this case is i must buy both cards... This combination of cards work fine in GB-PVR? Can i by example see analog channel and record 2 TDT channels? Can see a TDT channel and record both 1 analog and 1 TDT channel?
My first option is best (only buy 1 card) but i dont know if the Avermedia card can work.
Thanks for your help.

Tabular guide when playing - Make a comeback
Posted by: matthrolf - 2007-11-01, 07:37 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

It would be great to have the old small guide back again - the one that was a table because it was nice to be able to search to the right.

  Search guide coloring
Posted by: matthrolf - 2007-11-01, 07:35 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

When in the tv guide and pressing guide again to get the search form, it would be absolutely wonderful if the episodes you have are colored red like they were in the old search guide... additionally it would be more than great if the ones that are scheduled for recording were colored in another color that is different than then ones that are already recorded Smile

Hi everyone,

I need help on setting up ComSkip and Comclean on my GB-PVR. I followed the install instructions on both of the utilities but I don't know how to edit the PostProcessing.bat. I can't open the file since this is a .bat extension. Please advise!

Thank you,
Greg

Posted by: Caseyjones - 2007-11-01, 05:52 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (5)

Can anyone give me a clue as to why I don't get BBC3 found in the scan but all the other channels on that MUX are!.

I'm using a Nova T500 DVB card and on the scan it reports signal strength 68 and quality 100

I am receiving from the Sutton Coldfield transmitter.
