I've had this problem develop over the past few days where GB-PVR (1.0.16) fails to update the EPG over DVB. Whenever I try to Update EPG from the Tray PVRX2 opens and then quits again after a few seconds. Whenever I try to Update EPG from the Config>Capture Sources>Edit Screen it pauses for a few seconds and then tells me it's saving the updated EPG info.
A log of an attempted EPG Update has been zipped and attached.
I noticed in PVRX 1.0.16, that the show duration line overlaps the show end time when playing through my MVP. It's not a show stopper, but it would be nice to see the total duration of a show.
First time poster and new member. I was looking at purchasing this card, but I was hoping they were trying to get the clear QAM working on it with gbpvr. I was told by the VistaView support that gbpvr is one of several programs that they are working towards getting to work with QAM. Is this true? Thanks!
I was wondering when or if ever GBPVR runs a cleanup process on the Recordings folder. Seems that i have some Empty Folders for shows of which i have watched the recordings already and they no longer show in the recordings screen. But the directories are still there. Same goes for one directory where I think I rebooted the comp in mid record it has the txt files and a 40mb partial recording in it but no entry in the recordings menu of GBPVR. So my question is will GBPVR clean this up how often does it do it? Should I manuall clean this stuff out or write a script to run it for me? Will manually removing these empty folders or partial recordings that have no GBPVR entry affect how GBPVR runs? Thanks.
Currently when I switch my machine on,
all the fans start for about 4 seconds
It then switches Off, (no speaker beeps)
Switches on and continues normal boot (with a single speaker beep = OK).
Does everyone else get this, as at the moment I have a random BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) and I'm trying to find where the probelm is. As all other motherboards I have had go straight to boot, I'm wondering if the motherboard is the problem?.
I've got the analog working, and can tune a few ASTC channels using an OTA antenna. Whenever I try to scan, I get a No Channels error, check Signal.
I've pulled the cable line, and put it into the digital coax in on the card, but can't get any stations with the Clear QAM on GB-HVR (or WinTV for that matter).
I've got a digital cable box that works, so I'm pretty sure that digital signal (encrypted or unencrypted QAM is going through).
The area seems to have a whole lot of QAM channels according to the line up on Silicondust.com
At first I thought it was a filter blocking the Clear QAM, but since the cable box I got today works, it looks like digital signal is going through.
Could my WinTV card be defective? It's the correct model with QAM support (74041 or whatever). I've got the latest driver installed.
So, my theories
1) All QAM is encrypted. Wouldn't this give me signal, just black/encrypted?
2) QAM is filtered. Doubt this since digital Set Top Box works
3) Digital signal is transmitted using something else besides QAM that I don't know about, or all the channels are actually analog (doubt this since I've got 200+ channels, and I don't think they can all be analog).
I am interested in gvpvr and i love the way it looks in the screenshots everything about it seems perfect but i am not sure if the movies portion is exactly what i am looking for, what i want is something like My Movies http://www.mymovies.dk/ which is only compatible with MCE (which is bloated and expensive) so if this program is comparable to that (or better ) then i am on board
Well I decided to just give it a shot but.... :*( it doesn't work... I installed the program and the C++ runtime thing and it seemed fine but when i go to run it i get " the application failed to initialize properly (oxc0000135). click ok to terminate th application" and it's to late for me to dickl around so any suggestions would be awesome i would really like to give it a try
I think I mentioned this in a thread a while ago, so it might already be in your list, but could the built-in recordings-listing show-icons have a separate directory, which GB-PVR can check in addition to the target folder? ie if there isn't a folder.jpg file in the \showname directory, gb-pvr should check for a showname.jpg file in a show icon directory (eg the Program Image tool uses the media\art directory)
This would overcome the problem of having to manually create folders for new pending shows just to put a folder.jpg file in them, as well as simplify the acquiring of show image icons.
