  hvr-1600 sample clips?
Posted by: ram4x4nut - 2007-09-28, 07:47 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I know this should probably be in hardware but it seems that only a small portion of the community looks in there. Would someone with a Haup HVR-1600 post or email me a 15-30 second mpeg2 clip of a HD recording? I'd really like to see how good the clips are compared to a pvr-150. If you want to email it to me, send me a pm here and I will give you my email addy.

Thanks!

Playback is wmv instead of mpg
Posted by: muckleroy - 2007-09-28, 05:08 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I have GB-PVR v1.0.16.

I set the convert to wmv in the config. When I playback recorded shows in GB-PVR it is showing me the low quality wmv files instead of the higher quality mpg files. Both are there, and I can play either one using Windows Media Player.

I tried moving the wmv file, and when I tried to play the show, there is no longer a listing in the recorded > whats new list.

I can go to "My Videos" and select the show folder then click on the mpg file, works fine.

It is like the wmv file is being replaced in the database.

  No Sound On ONE Channel
Posted by: il1019 - 2007-09-28, 04:17 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

so i sat down to watch a recording and theres no sound. I check the live tv, i get sound on all the channels except the one that recorded. Of course its NBC where the new shows are, so now im frustrated cause i missed the office. I don't think its a hardware problem because WinTV outputs the sound on the channel just fine. Like i said, All the other channels work perfectly. Any ideas?

TV Guide not showing channel numbers
Posted by: Mogal - 2007-09-28, 03:38 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (13)

I just signed up to SD (Got tired of incorrect listings from scrappers)
Everything seems to be correct, but while viewing the TV guide, there
are no channel numbers, just the call letters (CNN ABC NBC ect...)
Is there a way to show the channel numbers with the call letters?

Thanx!

  Channel Logo
Posted by: negid - 2007-09-28, 03:11 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I've tried everything I can think of to get the channel logos to work.

1. Change TVGuideChannelHeaderType to 0
2. Used the GUI interface to try and DL and set up icons
3. Tried to manually download and rename icons
4. Yes, I have a \media\channellogos directory.

Any ideas?

  No Sound with Digital/Analog Fine
Posted by: Howry - 2007-09-28, 02:21 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Using a Haupage 1600. When I map my digital channels and flip to that channel to watch I have no sound on that channel. When I switch it back to analog I get sound back. I have tried going from my Audigy 4 to onboard sound and it didnt make a difference.

I did a search and didnt see any info on it. Maybe im blind. Has anyone else had this problem? Before I reformatted and reinstalled I could get sound in digital but since I cannot. Before I had my channels mapped on channels I dont get VIA Analog. This time around I mapped the majors(ABC,CBS Etc) over the actual channel so it would correspond to my channel guide.

On the mapping section in config where it has the little mini viewer screen I do get sound.

Thanks!

-Andy

Two tuners can't record two shows at same time
Posted by: EJCastellanos - 2007-09-28, 12:53 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I recently replaced a WinTV PVR150 with a WinTV PVR1600. I have been unable to get the ATSC portion of the card working but that isn't my main concern at the moment.

The more pressing issue is that I cannot record two shows on all channels. For example, when the local Fox or NBC affiliate is chosen no other channels can be recorded. If I select another channel it says there is a conflict, even though there are no other programs being recorded at the time. This doesn't happen with all channels, just a few.

What steps should I take to remedy the problem? Before, it was recording shows, but they were all static. Looking through the logs it appeared that the tuners we being set to channels in the 100s and I don't have channels that high.

Thanks for all your effort.
