I just did a fresh install of v1.0.16, added the backend patch, set up a Schedules Direct account, updated the EPG in the config app...and it worked!
My problem is the TV Guide doesn't match the channel line-up I see in SD. The guide in GBPVR shows way too many channels but only has info for a random dozen. Here's a pic:
The support and information I find in this forum is so good I'm starting to think this is a SD problem.
Hi, I have Windows XP x64, Core 2 Duo 2.33ghz, 4gb of RAM. I'm clearly not underpowered in any way, yet whenever my system is recording anything via GBPVR, it keeps freezing for a half second, over and over. Like, I get about 10 seconds of 'good' on my PC, then it 'blips' then it goes back to normal. Not only is this incredibly annoying if I'm, say, trying to ask a question on a forum, but it also seems to be screwing up the recordings. THey all have blips every 10-15 seconds or so, including audio interruptions, and pixellation, making them basically unwatchable.
I've looked around for codecs, but I have had a hard time finding much that's meant for 64 bit. Right now I'm using the Nero decoder for video and ffdshow for audio.
I'd really appreciate it if anyone has suggestions, as I'm really frustrated. I had my home pvr setup working great with my old computer, but as soon as I replaced it, it's been nothing but troubles. Thanks.
Hi, I just started using gbpvr but am having some trouble setting it up with my capture card, a kworld video magician v1. I know that it has the generic conexant 2388x chipset and supports mpeg2. The main problem though is that I am getting a pin connection error when I run the tuning assistant, but it'll still run thru the channels and I get video and audio, and when I go into pvrx2 it comes up with a blank screen and goes back to the channel line-up. I have attached a .zip with images of my direct.ini, GraphEdit, and the error. Thanks in advanced for any help I can get.
- The channel up/down buttons don't work
- The channel number buttons don't work
- Pause/Skip/Forward/etc dont' work
- The up/down/mute/volume buttons work, but most other buttons don't work
- When i watch an AVI file, there is no way to exit...I have to kill and restart PVR2.exe
Is there a more recent hkm file that someone can point me to
or provide me?
There's a handful of guides around the net on how to do this, but when I saw this one, and haven't seen much if any discussion about using resizing and sharpening video with FFDshow here, I figured I'd toss the link out since it has lots of comparison pics in the thread.
Hopefully the link will work right due to it being from google cache. If not, there are other guides and comparison pics to be had.
UncleJohnsBand: Updated Manual Record to use new date and time components.
UncleJohnsBand: Added ability to extend programme end time when scheduling recordings. Previously this was only availble on shows that were already scheduled to record.
UncleJohnsBand: Updated channel drop down on manual record to correctly show channel name and number rather than just the call letters.
UncleJohnsBand: Add Guest User access.
Guest User Id and Password are set on the Admin tab.
Guest users do not have ability to schedule, cancel or delete recordings.
Guest users do not have acess to Admin or Search tabs and they can not directly access them by URL.
Hi, just wondering, as I'm getting the same symptoms, except on 1.0.16. Also, my OS is Win XP x64, will the fix work on this os or is there a different procedure? Thanks.
My configuraiton is:
- Windows XP
- Hauppauage 500MCE
- MCE 2005 ver 2a remote control
(as detailed here http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...eyMappings)
- remote control is currently using "eHome Infrared Reciever" driver
- remote is working (i can scroll up and down on the main GBPVR menu)
But...XP refuses to accept the driver as valid.
When i choose "Have Disk" and point to the mceir.inf file, it just
spits back "The specified location does not contain information about your hardware".
I've searched the forums and google and can't find a solution.
Any advice would be appreciated...
