Running Ver 5 on a Win 10 system. The upgrade from V4 seemed to go very well (just finally got around to it). Sorted out a few issues on getting the guide and channel icons all in sync. Did various amounts of trouble shooting based on the numerous threads relating to cache, icon reloads, guide reloads, etc. Thanks to everyone for the great reading. And to the authors of NextPvr, a great application.
On the server app (HTML) I have the channel icons visible on both the Channel and Guide rows. In the various clients (Kodi on a Pi3's, Wetek, and FireSticks w/Kodi) I see the channel icons in the channel list. In the guide listings there are no channel icons on each row next to the channel number. However if there is no program art the correct icon will show in the bottom left corner of the page. Was wondering if I missed something is getting the icons to appear in each of the rows.
In my living room I use an Apple TV and havent had much luck with the NextPVR app. Is it possible to expose an M3U and XML file from NextPVR that I can feed into another front end app like iPlay TV?
I have used NextPVR on many different systems and absolutley love it.
Recently I have been trying to bring all my apps into one unraid server using docker. I have succesfully installed NextPVR, the image starts and allows me to add my IPTV service, download epg etc.
However when I try to play a channel I get the failed to start requested stream error and Im not sure where to start with troubleshooting. Ive attatched the logs. Could someone help?
Hi I recently changed my PC and ever since then NPVR wakes up my PC even in S4 state.
I have searched other posts but cannot see a solution. I have also installed latest NPVR version

I'm having an issue with my Nextpvr on Windows 10 and would be grateful for any help. When I open the desktop app there is a an error : "The remote server returned an error. 500 Internal Server Error". The guide works but nothing will play.
(An odd thing is that the streams will play through the nextpvr addon in Kodi. (There are some issues in Kodi like accessing multiple streams at once and no channel logos.) I am happy to post my Kodi logs here if needed. But I thought I'd make posts about the separate Kodi issues in the Kodi thread)
It launches fine but I can't see my device (a MyGica DVB-T USB tuner). If I use Video Station I can see the tuner and can see program guides and tv shows.
Is it the --device line that's wrong? I can't find the right path in the synology through the CLI.
Hello, have a working NextPVR v5 configuration, with Hauppauge DVB-T digital tuners and Hauppauge Colossus and STB with IR blasting configured.
Use Kodi Matrix for front end most of the time, but the NextPVR client works well too.
I am very pleased with NextPVR 5.
Just wondered if there is a so termed 'recommended' or optimized recording drive configuration?
I currently use two Seagate USB 3 external hard drives. One has all my movies etc, and the other is a dedicated recording drive.
I also have a separate SSD drive I use for timeshift only.
I sometimes find that if I am recording a number of shows simultaneously to one USB drive, whilst at the same time trying to playback say a movie from the other USB 3 drive, that things start to glitch out a bit, and get stutters on playback etc. Also, similar behavior when multiple recording, and then trying to playback a recording from same drive.
Usually no issues, but on occasion might be recording 3 channels from digital, and one from STB using Colossus.
Presumably it is the limitation of using the USB 3 bus.
Are there any tips or tricks that could help improve performance for a USB 3 type drive configuration?
Mainly went the USB3 route, as got Seagate Backup Plus external USB3 drives for good value per TB, so have one 6TB drive and one 10TB drive.
The 6TB drive is the current recording drive. Previously I had a RAID 1 config running off my motherboards built in hardware RAID.
It worked really well, but a raid drive would periodically fail quite often, so I tried the external USB 3 Seagate backup plus drives, and they are like bulletproof so far.
(apart from the limitations of the USB 3 bus)
Would having two recording paths (1 on each USB 3 drive) likely make any difference?
Or am I better to look to an array, or NAS?
Like I said, it is nothing dire or anything, and the single USB 3 recording drive has worked pretty bloody well, but just notice things struggle a bit under certain load conditions.
Just wondered what NextPVR users would deem 'the most desirable' recording drive config for NextPVR 5?
I didn't see this posted already but I have a raid1 setup and the drives are only 7500rpm. I've noticed when starting to watch HD channels via Kodi with the nextpvr client the IO on my disks spikes and there is a noticeable delay in the channel starting.
I've no need to timeshift etc so is it possible to disable the live buffer entirely? (I also have issues with the buffers not deleting properly).
Sub: I think that I've seen this problem before, but hadn't reported it because I didn't have logs.
Yesterday, I noticed that my current default recording directory drive was almost full. So I went into the web settings and changed the default directory to from D:\NPVR Recordings\ to E:\NPVR Recordings2\. But I didn't restart the server. Nothing says that you have to restart the server after changing the default directory, so I didn't. (Plus it was recording some things at the time.)
However, I just noticed that every recording which was going to the "Default" directory last night and tonight has failed. The recordings show an error saying "HDHR stream not available", but I don't think that the HDHR itself is the problem.
