i'm quite happy with my network server now - running stable. i'm using my mvp and networked client for playback.
on my client (using streaming) the live-tv freezes after some time.
i've already tried many different decoders and playback settings to no afford.
- mpv-encoder seems to survive a bit longer than other encoders
- gbpvr seems to survive a bit longer than pvrx2.
logs attached.

update: see http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=24591&page=2
setting ClientModeLiveTVPrePlayDelay (config.xml) to 5000 helped a bit but still led to freeze. setting to 10000 does fix the problem for me (even with cyberlink decoder)! did about 10 channel changes and pvrx2 is still up and running

Not a biggie but couldn't see this reported elsewhere...
I noticed a possible annoyance in the music library, the total number of files seems to be incorrectly reported at the bottom right (seems to report the number of files plus the link to the parent directory). Maybe this is in intentional, but it had me thinking I was missing a file for a while...
Strange issue here. When I select a recorded show for playback, I get a black screen and no video. If I manually open the video through video library however, the video plays just fine. It's almost as if the path to the video is not being passed from the database or something.
Aaargh! Just as I thought I had got eveything working perfectly!
I noticed some slight juddering was back on TV, and have found that for some reason if I launch GBPVR using resolution changer: GRNPOWER={run(C:reschange.exe -width=1280 -height=720 -refresh=50 "C:\Program Files\devnz\GBPVR\GBPVR.exe")}
Then fine, the screen blanks out for a few seconds and the resolution changes as it should. GBPVR starts up, the initial splash screen says loading or using VMR9 FSE... - and then the screen blanks again for a few seconds (a sure sign on my LCD that the resolution or refresh rate is changing again) and by the time I get to the menu in GBPVR the refresh has gone back up to 60Hz!
This only happens using VMR-fse. VMR7, 9, or custom using the same remote command and it works as it should - the resolution changes once, GBPVR starts, and stays at 50Hz until I exit.
So pleeeeeeeeese anyone got an idea why VMR-FSE is not behaving!
I am sure it was working last week - and cannot think of anything in partcular that has changed since...

I brought in my ATI Theater 650 Pro to work to capture some VHS tapes. What's the easiest/simplest way to set this up, since I'm not looking to record any channels and etc., and there's no TV service here, anyway.
I've installed all patches and updates listed to date. I am using Schedules Direct to populate the EPG. Everything seems to run smoothly when setting up the capture source, no errors on exit but when I go to watch Live TV it says that there is no capture source installed. Going back into Config the capture source I had set up is gone.
It almost seems that the config app is failing to save on exit, but it doesn't kick up any errors. Had no problems back in v.99x
Was browsing the TV Guide to check on some things and saw some programs listed as aconflict (in red) one didn't have anything else scheduled in that time slot. These were nothing that I had scheduled.
They wern't showing up in the Pending screen. clicked on one program and got the standard recording options. then clicked on the second program and got a Close/Cancel window.
I'm trying out migrating to the new version. I'm getting what I take to be a bug when I select 'Watch' in the Programme Guide. What happens the first time I do this, each time after starting up, is that (after an inordinately long wait) the programme appears with superimposed upon it a message saying "No signal detected. Please ensure that the antenna cable is connected..." Below it is a graphic showing signal quality and strength, at 100% and about 70% respectively(!). After a while it goes away and doesn't reappear thereafter - till the next time I start-up PVRX2.
Is this a known problem?
EDIT
It also goes away if I change channels (by hitting the up or down arrow on the keyboard).
