I'm new to NextPVR, just migrating from TVHeadend which I have used for years.
I have 2 x DVB-S2 tuners
Running on Server 2019
Based in the UK
Using latest version of NextPVR 5
When I scan for channels they are all in a random order and beginning at number 1, not 101, as they should (and do on TVHeadend). Does NextPVR, ignore the broadcast channel numbers?
Also TVHeadend extracted the guide with over a weeks programs from the DVB stream for over 90% of the channels, but NextPVR only seems to get the now and next for 50% of the channels and nothing for the rest.
Is this functionality missing from NextPVR, or am I missing something?
There is an OTA TV channel that I watch that sometimes displays a station ID logo during the movie. The movie audio keeps playing in the background but channel logo is displayed for video for a few seconds. When I watch the recording when it gets to the place where the channel logo appears it causes Kodi to loose it's place or something and the timeline changes. Kodi stops the audio and the video freezes but the timeline keeps going. Other times when this station logo appears Kodi jumps back to the beginning of the recording or it exits or the player closes.
My Windows client with an older version of NextPVR addon (8.0.2) seems to play through this. Also the web client doesn't seem to have and issue with this either.
My server is Linux Mint (Ubuntu), Kodi is the nightly build with kodi-pvr-nextpvr 8.2.0
Here are some logs. I jumped ahead to a couple minutes before this happens (around 30 Min) in the timeline.

I now run two Kodi 18 Leia forks on my Android TV box, namely Kodi itself and Wonderbox TV. Does anyone know of any other forks hat I can run simultaneously on the same box? I now use SPMC (Kodi 17 fork) but I wish to replace it with something newer.
After using V5 for months. I'm prompted for a login. I never changed the default, admin/password. But it doesn't work.
I tried a different browser, Edge which I never use, same failure.
Is there any way to recover?
It isn't the caps lock keys.

Does the setting "Avoid duplicate recordings where possible" only work for tv episodes but not for movies?
If it should also take movies into account, what are the requirements that NextPVR recognizes an existing movie recording?
Where is the history for deleted recording saved, ist it "RECENTLY_DELETED" in the database?
If so, does it only save tv episodes but not movies?
It seems NextPVR uses a SchedulesDirect id to identify a episode recording. What will happen if you change your guide data to xmltv, will it re-record the existing or previously deleted episodes?
I set up, scanned for channels, OK all the pages listed on “getting started”. try live tv and get nothing.
Using windows 7-64bit. pvr version 3.1.1.
also, not using internet. can I program manually?
Hi. I've been using NPVR for about a year and it has worked quite well up until now. All of the sudden, I can't watch or record live tv. I get the error "unable to find capture device". Under settings, it can see my 2 hauppauge WinTV tuners, and they show up under device manager in Win 10.
Normally I would just uninstall and reinstall, but I had a really hard time getting the guide to work (finally did it with zap2), so I don't want to have to figure that out again.

Forgive me if this is covered elsewhere. I've gotten v5 to work in most respects on my Windows 10 HTPC, but one symptom that lingers is that longer recorded programs (typically one hour) that play to the very end don't just stop and take the viewer back to the recordings menu. The last image freezes on screen, and when I press stop on my remote, the recorded title no longer shows up in the What's New or Ready Recordings screens. It's just gone. If I stop the program before it reaches the very end, the recording seems to still show up. If this could be fixed, I would probably keep v5 installed. If not, v4 here I come (again).
My tuner is an Avermedia H830, though it's probably irrelevant here.
I use NextPVR (and KODI) in my laptop (Windows), and only connect my tuner when I want to watch or record TV.
When the NextPVR Service starts (including when starting Windows), if the tuner is not connected, it will show up as "unavailable" in Settings > Devices, even after connecting it.
If I then try to watch or record TV in KODI or NextPVR, or update EPG, it fails.
Even after going to Settings > Devices and pressing "ReScan For Devices" it still fails, even though the tuner no longer shows as "unavailable" in the list.
If I restart the NextPVR Service with the tuner connected, it starts working.
This didn't happen in NextPVR version 4.
In version 5 it seems like, when starting, NextPVR marks the device as "unavailable" if it's not connected and then never tries to see if it's connected again.
It would be great if NextPVR would check if the tuner is connected yet before doing it's thing.
Is there any settings that could solve this?
Can anyone help me to turn on subtitles, mainly for recording TV programmes in the UK?
I have searched the forum for an answer, and I found a thread which identified a parameter set in the Config.xml file but not sure how it should be modified. Could you explain how the config file must be edited to turn on subtitles please?
