Hi there. I used to use next PVR, but then there was a change in the EPG service and I moved over to Plex/Emby. I no longer use NPVR and just recently deleted it off of my computer, but it keep recreating a folder that has the mc2xml files in it. Please tell me how to get this folder to stop creating.
Just wanted to ask, in the new windows client you have the usual options, but in v4 you could change or remove these, or even add new options that would run another application.
EG. I don’t store music or photos on my media PC, so would like to hide these options, also would be good if I could launch AppleTV or Netflix from menu option.
After the upgrade I can see in the config.xml file that my old options from v4 have been copied across, but v5 client seems to ignore them.
I searched the forums and the wiki and saw that plugins are not currently supported, but wanted to check if it was still possible to customise the menu options.
First of all thank you for the great software! I am a somewhat new user coming from mediaportal/WMC but am very impressed so far.
Here's the problem I'm having - one of the channels in my area is constantly changing the SID back and forth between 5, and 1. Right now in the NPVR channel list for that channel, I see "Freq:15 SID:5". However in a few hours or maybe tomorrow, the channel will stop working until I re-scan (and delete duplicates). The working channel will then say "Freq:15 SID:1".
I had the same problem with Mediaportal which I why I tried out NPVR (and found it to be far superior aside from this issue). The strange thing is, Windows Media Center can handle these changes without an issue, so it must be possible to somehow ignore these changes.
Any thoughts? I'd really rather not go back to running WMC if I can avoid it. I have contacted the broadcaster but I'm not sure if they will get back to me.
had a hard drive failure and had to rebuild my NextPVR server and found an issue that I've cannot find root cause after a week of troubling shooting. If I reboot my windows 10 everything works fine on Kodi and remote web page as I can see All Recordings, once I PDR into the NextPVR Server All Recording's will not show up on Kodi or in the web page this includes the Windows 10 that NextPVR is running on. Yes I was running the latest build the only deference's was I installed just the new build on my new rebuild hard drive.
Only way to get this list working again is a reboot and don't RDP into my PVR Server.
if I check the log files the time is incorrect. The guide is showing all programs correctly though.
I tried setting the TZ env. var. See screenshot.
And restarted the container but it doesn't work. Any ideas?
According to what I have read on the wiki (thanks for that, it is really of help!), I understood that the merge function helps to merge under a single channel number different istances of the same channel that can be found on different frequencies. Is that right?
I was wondering if there is some kind of function that can help me to manage the case reported hereafter in which, after a scan, I have under the same channel number two completely different and independent channels (i.e. different frequencies):
Is this something that can happen or I have made some mistake somewhere? Should I go one-by-one deleting the chanel I don't need or there is a way to avoid this during the scan itself? Hope you can help me in providing guidance on how to manage this case.
I am installed this app and purchased the andorid apk from google store.
The installation of next pvr server in on windows pc and I have added a m3u playlist. One of the channel link is "url hidden" and I am unable to play the live stream. This link works great on vlc, browser and any other video player. Upon investigation, I found this stream has multiple audio and separate audio and video stream. How can I view this stream via next pvr?
I will appreciate if help can be provided with this.
