I get the impression that IPV6 works but IPV4 doesn't but
I can't see any differences (firewall, Windows defender, TCP/IP config)
with my former PC.
Can anyone offer any ideas?
I have a Hauppauge Colossus 2 connected via HDMI to an older dish receiver. Recently I've noticed there is no audio sometimes when I watch a channel, however if I exit back to the guide and watch the channel again, the audio is now working.
Recordings sometime have no audio either. My OTA recordings via a Hauppauge WinTV 885 have no issues.
I've replaced the HDMI cable to rule that out. Now I'm at a loss. I don't recall any recent system changes (Windows 7 Ultimate).
From the log I can see that the first attempt uses the AAC decoder, then the second successful try uses the AC3 decoder.
I've attached a screenshot of the decoder settings.
The relevant bits of the log:

Hi there, i've been using NextPVR for a couple of years now, and have been impressed with all it does and can do.
Until recently, i was using it on a Win7 PC (64bit), using NPVR 4.2, capturing video & sound from a satellite STB thru a HDPVR2, and blasting channel changes via IR Server Suite thru an MCE blaster. All worked flawlessly, although i seem to remember IRSS being a bitch to get going.
Unfortunately, my satellite STB has now been repalced, and the one i have seems to use IR codes that IR Server Suite cant learn. (Not sure why but it's IR command Learning feature times out with nothing learned on every single key on the new STB's remote).
HOWEVER, i have been able to successfully "learn" the remote with WinLIRC. Having compared the file that WinLIRC created with the .IR files IRSS created, i dont think i can convert the WinLIRC code file for the new STB's remote to a set of .IR files that IR Server Suite can use to blast.
SO, i need to find a way to tell NextPVR to blast via the WinLIRC instead.
I have WinLIRC blasting perfectly manually (via WinLIRC itself when its open in a window), but can't figure how to send the command to it from NextPVR.
I did see some very old reference to this on the old GBPVR pages (from 2006), in which a usesr had posted "channels.js" java script to do exactly what i need, but unfortunately, the uploaded file is no longer linked.
There's also a post with an autoit scipt that would seem to do what i need, posted in 2016 on here by a user called Drake3: https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=55961
but i dont seem to be able to compile the script correctly, although in honesty, i have no idea what i'm doing with Autoit.
So, please can anyone help, either to compile the script featured in that thread and help me with what argument to use in my NextPVR channel changer config , or to point me toward another way to get NPVR to trigger WinLIRC to blast the 3 digits?
I've spent days trawling the internet, and it seems like there's a million other solutions out there if i had different blasting equipment (USBUIRT/Iguana etc) or a different STB, but im stuck.
Thanks for any help/advice/insights any of you can offer.
I'm running NextPVR v5 on Windows 10. I use Schedules Direct for my EPG and channel icons. Channel icons generally download and display correctly, but occasionally they don't. Sometimes no icon appears in NextPVR's TV Guide, sometimes the correct icon appears, and sometimes a "broken" icon appears. That broken icon appears like this in the TV Guide:
When I check Users>Public>NPVR-Data>media>channels, I see that no icon in the TV Guide corresponds to either no icon in this folder or an icon that has the "wrong" filename. However, when a "broken" icon appears, I can always find a file with the correct name. When I open this file using Windows Photo, the correct channel icon displays. I can't detect any difference between files containing icons that display correctly and those that display the above "broken" icon.
How can I cause the correct channel icon to display in this case?
Thank you.
Edited to add: When I previewed this post, the icon displayed correctly. Now I'm getting gibberish. I don't know how to fix that. My apologies.
Edited to add: If I run the Desktop App, the offending icons display properly, but they display the broken icon in the Web app. They also display correctly in Kodi running on the "server". However, Moreover, the same channels display the broken icon on my RPi running OSMC, which is connected to NextPVR over my home network.
#1 Client no longer has the "Now playing feature". It used to work in v4 where you hit the up arrow or the down arrow on your keyboard and a tv guide pops up showing all the tv shows now playing on all the channels.. you could then up or down arrow your way to the desired channel and hit enter to change the channel. Pls bring back this top notch couch potatoe feature.
#2 Start or stop back end shortcuts that existed in the start menu on v4. today for whatever reason the usb tuner would not be recognized by next pvr... no amount of taking it out and reinserting it or starting and stopping the npvr client would get it to work. the webapp also failed to start the tuner. Logging out of my account had no effect. the only thing that worked was rebooting. such problems in v4 were solved by issueing a stop back end and then restarting it.

When you go to TV Guide and select a future date and switch to another menu item (at the bottom) and go back to TV Guide the date selected is reset to today.
I think it's better to remember the selected date.
Using latest NextPVR on Docker, iPhone X with latest app on latest iOS 14.3.
I noticed 100% app crashes when doing the following:
1. go to Guide
2. switch guide data to tomorrow
3. click a random menu item for example Channels or Search
4. repeat from step 1 until it crashes (after a few loops it will crash)
Using latest NextPVR on Docker, iPhone X with latest iOS 14.3.
If you go to TV Guide and select the date dropdown it will show in my case 8 days incl. today to which I can jump to. This works for the first 5 days. But when you select a date further into the future nothing happens.
Apparently there's no EPG data for those dates (I double checked this in TV guide on my Samsung KS8000 TV) But I think it's a better experience to show nothing (because there's no EPG data) than to show the previous data (also because date selected in dropdown IS updated). And even better is to not show any dates in dropdown when there's no data for that date (I checked all channels in the guide).
I have been using NextPVR for a few years and it worked very good thanks!
A few months ago some recordings started to be empty and now most recordings are zero bytes. Sometimes it works but often it does not.
Here is a log of a channel I tried recording manually this afternoon. I know the channel was receiving correctly since I could watch the live feed from within NextPVR just before I tried the recording.
