I recently installed a 2nd tuner. I want to use this tuner as the primary for regular cable channels, with the existing one as secondary. The reason for this is that the existing card is setup to use my cable STB, and I don't want it tied up recording basic cable unless there is already something else recording.
Is it as simple as removing the existing capture source and re-adding it after the new one?
I know GBPVR doesn't officially support Windows Home Server (WHS), but i had a problem with it tonight.
I have recently upgraded to a new machine. It's a dual core Athlon64, with 2 gigs of DDR2 ram, a 320 gig system drive and (currently) a 500 gig SATA data drive.
The problem i had was when watching a programme that was still recording. I have watched programmes that were no longer recording with no problems at all. I have attached the logs (all of them). There seems to be an error in pretty much every one of them!
I have pointed told GBPVR to record to D:\shares\recordings, which is part of the WHS storage "pool", so i don't know if it's a problems with reading and writing to the same file. Or whether it's the fact that i now have a dual core processor.
The MVP just froze up while we were watching it, we left it for about 30 seconds, then switched off the MVP. On powering it up again it connected again, but was unresponsive, so we powered it off again. So we left it for about 10 minutes, then tried again, but this time it didn't even connect. When i went to the PC i could click on anything, I could move the focus to windows, but not click on any of the buttons. So i reset it.
One other thing i just remembered is that the MVP in question wasn't power-cycled when i re-built the PC. And as i went to 99.5 to 99.12 it could be the dongle.bin, i was using an old dongle.bin before as i had problems with the newer ones when used on my small LCD tv.
I'm having reception issues on one particular mux and want really need to reposition my ariel. I've tried with the totally useless signal bar on my set top box but it doesn't really help. Is there any way I can get GBPVR to display the signal strength/quality of the channel being view on screen. Either that or some other small app which does the same job. I could use ScanChannelBDA but I'd rather not spend several minutes up the ladder waiting for the scan to finish before I'm told "try left a bit again"!
Jeff Wrote:Kind of. If you set auto fetch from internet to false the plug-in won't fetch posters or epsiode information. You can then episode information alone by running the gettvinfo utility (for example from your postepgupdate.bat file) or by selecting the video you want to fetch the info for, press enter to bring up the video information screen and then press the menu button to get a pop-up menu that has the option to fetch episode information.

where is this pop-up menu taking its skinning info from
I got a dvb sattelite Capture card of dvbworld, I`m getting often a Blue screen from Windows XP Proffessionel "IRQL not less or equal" and that the driver of this card is responsible for this Bluescreen.
I can`t find another driver for this card by the manufacturer, does anyone else had ever this problem too.
I've get German learning Videofiles for my wife from a friend, but gbpvr doesn't recognizing the *.dat extension, how can i add this extension to gbpvr.
I'm sure somebody else had ask you this question but it's so boring for me to read and understand all the thread's with my poor english, please forgive me.
I have a weird issue. At home I have GBPVR running on WinXP using two of these USB cards quite happily (apart from odd crash which I suspect is because the PC's been thrashed and not rebuilt for four years). At work I've got a PVR server running Win2003 Svr and it can detect the 1st card (with both tuners) quite happily, however when I try to add the second card (another two tuners) by repeating the steps I took for card one but changing the device number to two instead of one, all seems OK until I try to do Map Channels at which point it complains it can't find any configured BDA hardware.
I have already hacked the BDA.ini as required to get these cards to be recognised, however this doesn't seem to affect this issue.
Originally it couldn't find a Mux, so I installed PowerDVD Creator and selected the Intervideo mux in config. This has had no effect on the issue though. Previously both tuners on card one worked (no channels detected, but no working aerial connected yet as server is on computer room in centre of building) however both tuners on card two reported as not detected. Exactly the same happens since I installed the Mux and changed config and restarted the PC.
The relevant lines in the config.exe.log would appear to be these...

Log file attached if someone would be good enough to take a look and give me some clues...?
I did a quick search and couldn't find anything. I created a bunch of season recordings through EWA. I discovered that I needed to increase the Post Pad a few more minutes. I couldn't accomplish this through EWA. I had to go to the GB-PVR machine. Is it possible to do this through the EWA?
