great job on this app! i've been using my mvp for the past year with manually adding pads/changing resolutions in the config. i thought i'd come to forums and see whats new and low and behold an app to do just that for me!!!
the reason i'm customizing the resolution is that at 720x480 the ratio isnt 16:9 so the resulting image has the sides cut off on my HDTV. by double clicking on the height box it "fixes" the number to make it 16:9. the resulting number is 405.
My question is about making these changes to output resolutions stick. i've tried just closing the app and also clicking the more button and then save settings button. am i missing something here?
hd display on one channel is cut in half with the display in the upper half and the lower hal alternating white and black snow bars. I can watch all my other hd channels fine and in fact theis channel broadcasts 2 channels from the same transmitter and I can watch the 2nd chanel fine. I just installed the beta of video archive and when I enter the recordings screen, I get a please wait in the right top corner and after 10 minutes it's still sitting there.. Is this normal for the first startup of the plugin?
EDIT: And if I hit any buttons, I get a popup "Please wait for initialization to complete."
I ran the config but the only thing I did was uncheck the auto fetch info check box.
I ran it again and added a user. The first time I entered the recordings it asked for the pin, and I typed it in. An error message popped up with something was set to the instance. I entered the recordings again and now I get the please wait forever.
Any help appreciated.
This has probably been asked before, but just in case I'll throw it in.
For those of us with a lot of recordings, it takes a bit to scroll down through all the recordings before I get to the one I want. It would be a lot faster to jump to the letter pressed on the remote keypad or pc keyboard.
Hi Guys, I've already started work on this plugin (although I haven't gotten very far since its my first plugin).
My problem was this. I can't get Comskip to work successfully on all channels with one config file. So as a result some (if not all) recordings commercial marking needed to be tweaked manually. This possed a slight problem since I am trying to eliminate my keyboard and mouse. I have tried a suggested post that used the Transcode menu from the Video Library plugin as a work around, but the problem I ran into is that the form Comskip loads is not directly linked to the program itself, so closing the form does not close the program. This left a hidden comskip.exe running whenever a txt file for the recording could not be found, again requiring the keyboard and mouse.
So, I have resolved to try to make a plugin which will read in a Comskip format txt file with the same name as an mpg file. And allow the user to edit the commercial markings in the text file via GBPVR. There will be other features as well, such as running Comskip with an mpg file and creating a new txt commercial file.
Can anyone forsee any major problems that I may run into which will make it impossible to do this?
i'm using quite a while a mce remote and i'm very glad with it. the plugin
works execelent. only some things are not as they should be ...
when watching live tv a get teletext when pressing the red button.
my mce remote has a seperate teletext button - how can i define this one for that ?
when i press the DVD Button within gb-pvr i only get back to the main menu,
a playing video or live tv keeps still playing, same is when pressing the info
button on the remote.
how can i get it working entering the dvd mode when pressing the dvd button ?
how can i disable the resized movie windows in the main menu, 'coz my skin
doesnt support this feature, like the blue skin does.
DBox2 is connected to router by ethernet cable,
router is connected to PC by ethernet cable,
cable TV is goes to Dbox2 by cable to the 'antenne' connection.
I am using the Neutrino image and I have uploaded the local services.xml file by FTP.
IP address is 192.168.0.2
Gateway is 192.168.0.1
DBox2 IP is 192.168.0.3
I can see the names about 150 channels on the DBox2 screen so I presume all is ok there.
I'm using XMLTV for the EPG but after I update this no channels come up.
