I'd like to make my TV not have any delay at all. However, I apparently set up GB-PVR to go into TimeShift Mode. This didnt happen when I first installed it, and it worked fine at the time. I'm guessing that I just need to turn of Timeshift Mode, what do I need to do?

Is the source code available for the video archiver? Mine is still stuck initializing, and I would take a look what is going on if the code was available.
I have having trouble with the recording service silently stopping mid-record. This is on my AthlonXP 2200, HVR-1600, ATI X1300, overlay video, dvr-ms mux on ATSC recordings.
Logs are attached, restarting the recording service restores functionality, but I've had this happen a few times and missed recordings. I do not run any anti-virus, anti-spyware, firewall or anti-firewall.
I also noticed the following in the event log at the same time as the failed recordings.
Here is a handy idea. If a recording fails (power outage, etc.) how about automatically searching the EPG for another occurrence and schedule that if there is no conflict. There could be a setting in Config to set 'Rescheduling' to 'none', 'manual' or 'automatic' on failed. The manual mode would be a button that one could click to make it find and schedule one so it was under the users control.
I'm running GBPVR, version 099.12, and I'm having a problem in that the tuning helper has lost two channels and is duplicating a third. It was fine until a day or two ago, and something changed, but I'm not sure what, exactly. No matter what I change in the configuration, it still does the same thing. Channels two thru 6 no problem. Channel 7 is the same as 8, and then no 9 or 10, and then everything else on up is fine. I went so far as to completely re do the tuner source, and then, re installed the whole package. No joy. Any experience with something like this? Thanks.
this week, I discovered that if 4 instances of mencoder are running at a time, the server decides to clock out and go home.
not everything I record is transcoded, but this week there was a marathon of shows that are.
how can I have the batch file check to see if it is already running??
I want to have the batch file check to see if mencoder.exe is running as a process.
if it is, I want it to wait a certian amount of time and check again.
just for kicks, here is my current postprocessing.bat

I just installed this card and I can't get it to record two shows at the same time in GBPVR v0.99.12.
I have two seperate entries under "Capture Sources" with "Emuzed Angel II #1" configured as "Capture Device #1" and "Emuzed Angel II #2" configured as "Capture Device #2" with EPG set up for each one. Both use the "Direct Recording Plugin".
When I check the recording status while two simultaneous recordings are scheduled, "Emuzed Angel II #1" shows one of the programs I scheduled and ""Emuzed Angel II #2" shows "Sleeping"
I was able to do a simultaneous recording of two seperate channels using GraphEdit.
I've got the basic 99.12 install working (with the memory leak and duplcate epg patches - very worthwhile) and it more or less did exactly what I wanted it to do. However, I then added a couple of Xvid AVIs to my video folder and installed the latest Xvid codec (1.1.2). The Xvids played perfectly, but then I went to play a DVD and I just got a blank screen. When I un-install the Xvid codec, I can play DVDs again!
I recently upgraded to 99.12. Thanks sub! The only issue that I've encountered is that I can no longer resume properly from my client machine. I searched the forum and couldn't find anyone with similar problems.
When I look at the logs, it seems that GBPVR is doing the right thing in that it's looking up the stored previous position, but it's using the wrong path. If I view the recording from the server, then jump to the client it will allow me to resume because the path is the same. However, when viewing from the client it stores the resume position in the database with the UNC path instead of the converted path (e.g. \\servername instead of C:\MyVideos\recordings). I confirmed this by looking at the DB. When I view the same recording again, it looks for the stored position it of course won't find it because it is looking up in the "C:\MyVideos\recordings" format rather than "\\servername\video\recordings"
I don't know if something changed since 99.05 when this used to work, but if I look at the order in which things are done in the log file, the resume position lookup is done before the "Translated server path" procedure. I think the system needs to translate the server path before it does the stored position lookup. Am I correct sub?
I've included a snippet from my GBPVR.exe logfile below.
Just as a note, I can resume from my client when viewing files from the video library since the files are located in a separately mapped drive and therefore the path stored in the DB is correct (e.g. Y:\pvr_archive) so there is no translation required between UNC and drive mapping.
Thanks in advance for your help.
