It seems like I remember seeing this before, but for some reason I can't find it now. What is the maximum number of MVP's that can be supported by one GBPVR server? For some reason I thought it was 12.
Not that I'm asking for help (yet) for the wakeup process, as I just installed the patch for 99.12 and testing that.
My question is when the PC has started and made a recording will it make the PC go to sleep again?
I read somewhere that I should create a script for some hours later to shut it down, but that may not suit the recordings I've made.
I just updated my channel list (added channels to my service).
Here's the prob:
Originally we I had ... 38,39,40,41, & 42
Now I have all of the above plus 43,44,45,46,47,48.....
When I now go to view the channels on live tv 43 & 44 are just noise. The channel lineup jumps from 4, to 44, to 8 to 46,
I tried removing the channel list from the config util downloading a new EPG. That didn't help... I'm figuring theres something else a miss.
Any thought on how I can reset the list and why two channels are just noise? (btw I checked the channels on wintv2000 and they are fine on there).
System Setup:
GBPVR 0.99.12

Help With Media MVp setup and how to get it to work properly?
Hello,
i have the media MVp hooked to m computer via linksys router, it can find my computer but on lets me view what i have already recorded. How do i set it up so i can view live tv and change channels and set recordings. Please Help.
Also can you set up the MVP on the router to access a computer that is wirelessly connected to the network?
Hello! Short Version
I need to run comskip/clean, rename and retime in the .bat but can't because something isn't right. Can anyone post an example of their postprocessing that includes these items (or the mplayer versions), please?
Long version
I can run the comskip and clean no problem. I then call rename, and it works fine. However, if I then run retime, it fails:
Unable to open file C:\Program Files\gbpvr"M:\CABLETV\Judge.mpg for reading.
Judge.mpg isn't right for the filename, hence it dies. This is my post processing, the relevant bits:
<lots of stuff>
call comclean %1
if EXIST "%~dpn1_original.mpg" del "%~dpn1_original.mpg"
:renamerstep
Rem now I rename the file
RenameRecording.exe %1 >>rename.log
Rem now I try to run retime to fix the VLC streaming bug
rem retime "%1.mpg" "%2.mpg" >>retime.log
:eof
What am I doing wrong? The only thing 'special' about my setup is that my directory structure is c:\Program Files\gbpvr (no devnz). I'm using the stock retime.bat file.
Thanks!
But the Guide is to use the HDHR with BeyondTv and I want to use it with GB-PVR.
Heres what I got so far:
I did the Autoscan through a Dos window.
Used the HDHR GUI to do a scan of Qam channels and tested them with VLC.
Used the QAM Mapping Utility to make my hdhomerun_bda.remap file.
In GB-PVR I added the HDHR to my capture Devices list, using the BDR driver.
Selected Zaptoit for the EPG.
Let the EPG fill the channel list. But if I try to "Map Digital Channels to EPG Channels" and run the scan GB-PVR finds nothing.... Yet I viewed 23 channels on the VLC so I must have missed somthing.
Long story short - I have a videomate dvb-t200a that came with comproDTV. Compro was schocking. Fine SD, sutter on HD, poor PQ. Crashes, bugs, etc so goodbye to compro.:p
I then tried the trial Showshifter 3.1 and everything was perfect. Great pictures for both SD and HD. With Showshifter the Australian AC3 audio format worked perfectly on ALL 6 channels. But the Showshifter trial ended and no way was I going back to Compro so I decided to try GBPVR.
So far all is good EXCEPT that I can only use my left/right speakers and not the rest. I know my hardware can do it so what am I missing? If my existing codecs worked perfectly before, why not now?
In GBPVR config I notice no difference between Nvidia(not purevideo) and system default audio codecs. This is driving me insane trying to get it to work. Is it currently a limit with GBPVR?
This is for Live TV. I haven't yet tried recording etc. Any help much appreciated.
Pentium D 2.8
Videomate DVB-T200a tuner
Realtek Ac'97 onboard sound (set up with converted Mic/line in ports to act as speakers. NO Spdif)
Geforce 7600gs
1.5 gig ram
This may not be GB-PVR related, but I thought I would ask the community for help anyway. My computer started crashing repeatedly in the last week. Every time the minidump file points to nv4_mini.sys which is the Nvidia card driver. This happens mostly when trying to play a file, regardless of type. The error in the minidump is
UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP_M (1000007f)
I have researched all over the web, installed the most recent Nvidia drivers, removed components, and even opened my computer case to diagnose the problem unsuccessfully. At this point I think it is a hardware failure in the graphics card, it is about 18 months old, and I am ready to order a new one.
When I change channels, the channel number does not appear in the upper left corner of the screen. Last time I set this up (same box, same configuration) it worked perfectly. I decided to try mythtv and when I came back to GBPVR I had no channel numbers. I'm stumped so I'm chalking it up to bad GBPVR karma but maybe one of you guys will have the more technical explanation & solution?
