I was using an ati radeon 9250 in my media centre with win xp mce edition. It worked fine with win mce until directx 9.0 (not supported by this card) I bought an nvidia 5200fx and while I was waiting I went back to using gbpvr. I liked it so much, I wanted to stick with it! Problem is that I installed the 5200fx and now gbpvr freezes all the time - watching live tv or recording. It goes ok for about 20-30 minutes then just dies. needs a complete reboot to start again. I have updated to the latest drivers from the nvidia site but still the same problem.
I have a 1.7 mobile pentium chip with 1 gig of memory. Gbpvr, media portal and mce all ran fine before. I suspect a driver problem. Could someone with a 5200 tell me what drivers they are using and where i could get them from?
Hi,
Thank you for a great tool. I really like being able to schedule recordings while at work (or at friends/family whom got a PC with internet connection).
I'm using the standard setup in the EWA config, and find it rather troublesome that the 2 hours of program index is spread over a horizontal width up to 5 - 6 times the width of the standard 768*1024 gui screen.
Is there a way to adjust or change the width of the (2 hour) program guide to be more in line with the default gui screen. (I might have overlooked something).
Thanks in advance.
Jan
PS: I used to use mediaportal, but after 6 months of frustrations I changed to GBPVR, and have now been using it for 3 months. It has never let me down - I'm really happy with it.... Thanks guys
I am deciding between the Silverstone LC-20 and the LC-20M. The only difference is that the M has a bundled remote and VFD. If I get the unit without the remote and VFD I will buy the USB-UIRT and use my logitech harmony remote. The question is which would work better with GB-PVR, the bundled software (imon is the software) with the case or the usb-uirt. Does anyone have any experience with this case or software?
I also have a second unrelated question. I will have a server. What are the pros and cons to having a client pc versus a media mvp to access my media at a different location?
I downloaded the quicktime alternative 1.78 in order to view the trailers for the international cinema listings plugin. After I first installed everything I was able to view the trailers fine with now problems within GBPVR. Now when I try and view them the program crashes and I get the standard 'this program has encountered an error and needs to close' along witht the send error report to MS buttons. I also tried adding the trailers folder for the my videos plugin and the same result happens when I try to view them that way. I also tried uninstalling the quicktime alternative codecs and reinstalling them. I'll attach my latest logs after the last crash.

Edit: I also tried to view a .wmv file via the video library plugin and the program seemed to just freeze up and stopped responding.
As a DVB-S user in the UK and with the problems that have recently been happening with getting EPG data off the radio times web page. I wondered if it would be possible to get the EPG data from the DVB-S stream.
Here in the UK the broadcaster is SKY and I believe that the EPG data is transmitted in a separate stream to the channel that you are watching.
Hi guys. Can't really give more information than what's in the title! Came to open GBPVR via the tray icon a couple of days ago and it just wasn't there. Subsequent reboots haven't changed anything. The software works as normal, but I'd quite like my tray icon back!
In task manager, I have GBPVRRecordingservice.exe running, along with GBPVRTray.exe. If any more info is needed, please let me know.
Apart from GB-PVR I'm also running Foobar on my pvr so that I can access all my music (lots of lossless stuff).
Is there any way I can setup my remote so that I can type text in like its done on a mobile keypad? This would make navigation through long music lists a lot easier...
I've just hit this problem with the TV guide. I'm using the DVB EPG (because the Radio Times EPG is down) and since changing to this I can't navigate to the right and only sometimes can I navigate left. Up and down works but this is without any change in highlight colours. See screen shot.
I have tried a complete EPG reload and run the Hauppauge 45 button remote fix again to no avail.
I'm using GBPVR version 99.12 with the default skin and Hauppauge Nova T USB2. I have attached the logs for information.
This is the second time this happened, but I thought the first time it was just me transcoding stuff at the same time. This time the PVR had the whole processor to itself.
Two of the three are fine but the third, in this case Jericho, is a 50+GB file that causes trouble when trying to play.
The three shows were all on from 20:00 to 21:00; Friday Night Lights, Jericho and America's Next Top Model.
Everything's been going pretty well with 99.12 except for this which I think is worth chasing down.
I'm going to try to attach all the logs from yesterday in hopes someone can see what may have happened.
