If you press Play(?) it will give you an overview of the settings you can edit.
I think the caption of this Play textbutton is wrong.

Not all EPG data is shown in the Guide. On my Samsung TV the guide is much more populated. Also in TV Mosaic all EPG data is shown... so the data is there but it's not all used by NextPVR which is a real pitty if you want to do more advanced recording using filter on these descriptions.
Is this a bug? I could give you more log/testdata if you want.
If you use Search to find all "Christmas" in title and genre is "Movie / Drama" and press "Create Recording" and just do Save the movies which were found are not added to Pending list.
I have the same channels in two qualities for example "NPO 1" which is SD and "NPO 1 HD". So HD variant of a channel always ends with " HD"
I do my recording mostly on SD channels because of size and often enough it's good enough.
I wanted to record all movies with Christmas in the title but only for the SD channels so I added:

Second question: which fields are available? I know of title and genre. Where can I find documentation about this?
I have a Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD tuner card that I can no longer control with the remote control, I have to use a mouse which is kind of a pain. I bought a new infrared receiver but that did not resolve the issue. It was not the same one as the original, although I did buy it from Hauppauge. The original infrared receiver got wet and I have been unable to use the remote since. I use Direc TV as my main source of TV but now that they are in a contract dispute with the owners of my local CBS, I will have to use my antenna connected to my tuner card to receive all of my CBS programming, being able to use the remote again instead of the mouse will make it easier.
I thought about buying a new tuner card but wanted to see if there was anything else I could do first instead.
Anyone have any Ideas?
I have ripped all of my DVDs to my PVR. and am now in the middle of a project to import them into NPVR. I first use VidImport to create the XML file, then import it into NPVR.
I have not worked on this project in several months but tonight wanted to do a little work on it. When I tried to use vidimport by dragging both a folder and the contents of the folder onto VidIimport (the same way I did several months ago) a command prompt Window opened (as usual) but only the VidImport version info was displayed in the command prompt window and no xml document was created. I even tried a folder I had previously successfully completed with no luck.
Before trying this I did upgrade to NPVR version 5. Should that matter? Version 4.2.5 is also still installed.
I tried redownloading vidimport and rebooting my PVR. I also verified that dot net 3.5 was installed.
Anyone know how I can get vidimport working again, or is there something else more recent I can use.
I manually import the XML after I edit the data, IE add show description, the actors etc since vidimport did not do that. So whatever recommended utility, if not VidImport, does not need to do that.

My 4-Tuner Device was automatically detected: HDHomeRun EXPAND quad tuner (running latest firmware 20200907)
Devices > Settings > Scan Channels (280 channels were found)
2nd, 3rd and 4th tuner I autoconfigured
Under Channels I selected the EPG source for just 1 channel: DVB/ATSC EPG
Furthermore I now had 4 options incl. DVB/ATSC EPG, but while scanning for all channels I could only choose from 3: Freesat(UK), Schedules Direct lineup, XMLTV lineup
Frequency was (already) set to 60 seconds for this one channel
By going to Channels and after unblocking Video/Audio in Firefox I could watch the channel
About > Device status was also showing that 1 tuner was active for the channel I watched
I then clicked Update EPG, it showed the channel for which I selected DVB/ATSC EPG, it was counting down, but after 6 seconds it responded with "EPG Update complete. [0 inserted, 0 updated, 0 skipped]"
The TV Guide does show all channels but for the first and only channel I configured DVB/ATSC EPG for does not show any EPG data.
I have included the log file.
i am new with NextPVR.
Actually i use MP2 as TV Server and two active Clients. Now i want to Test NextPVR, but i get the first problem directly after the installation.
Is there any trick for DVB-S2 to start a channel scan?
NextPVR shows my 4 DVB-S2 Tuners from Digital Devices, but when i want to start the channel scan on the Astra 19.2E satelite, NextPVR says within one second "no channel found".
With MP2 there is no problem with the channel scan.
Since the last TvOS NextPvr app update a few days ago I can no longer manually connect to the v5 server (latest version) on a different subnet. I can't say for certain if it's version 3.1 or 3.2, since it won't launch, but presume based on your notices and the timing of the update it's v3.2. I can still connect to the server via browser and the iOS app. Both the TvOS and iOS clients are on the same subnet separate the server.
Has the latest TvOS app been tested for proper manual connect functionality?
