Hi Mvallevand,

Can we please have a sticky post with what the latest release of the dongle and latest release of the alpha dongle are, with a link going to them.

Just so we know we`re using the latest version

Thanks

Update a Recording doesn't allow Record Type to be changed
Posted by: Wakalaka - 2007-03-06, 08:34 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

GBPVR 0.99.12, I click Recordings, select a show, then click Update. I can highlight Record Type, but it doesn't respond to left/right to change it. Other fields, such as Quality, do respond to left/right to change it.

Should Record Type be allowed to be changed? If not, then it shouldn't be highlightable.

  Remote Control of Programming
Posted by: Hishighness420 - 2007-03-06, 08:11 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hey all, I imagine there is a way to do this, but I'm still a GB PVR N00b. I've got my PVR computer and my regular computer networked and both of them share an internet connection, I'm just wondering is there a way I can set a recording on the DVR Computer from my regular computer? I noticed in the config there's something about setting it up as a client or a server or something but I don't know how to use it.

  Youtube can't get any sound
Posted by: mmichaelson - 2007-03-06, 06:29 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (17)

I just want to say I am happy GBPVR user. I love this new youtube feature. Unfortunately I have not been successful in getting the sound to work for youtube. It works just fine when I'm watching live or record tv. I'm using a Real Magic XCard which gives superb quality.

I just hope there is a way I can fix my no sound issue in regards to youtube. I would love any support please. Thank you.

I'm not even sure how to title my problem
Posted by: Jarobata - 2007-03-06, 05:14 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (12)

I just downloaded the new version of GBPVR and now when I watch recordings (I haven't been able to try live tv yet) There is a black bar on the left hand side of the screen. On the top left of the screen is a very small flashing white horizontal line which is flush with the top of the monitor. This isn't visible in the menus and when the bar with the controls comes up on the screen it extends across the entire screen, including the black bar. However, the time is cut off on the right by a little bit. I hope that makes sense.

  GB-PVR closed unexpectedly

During live TV, at about 22:30, I pressed CH-DOWN and bam. Just disapeared (no error message). I think it's the second time it happened.

Can't watch live TV on new PVR500
Posted by: mhillmer - 2007-03-06, 03:28 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I've got a new Hauppauge PVR500 that I'm worried might have some problems. I've tried it in 2 machines and it crashes with gbpvr when watching live tv. However, in a 3rd machine it works ok (but I don't want to use this machine as my pvr).
I've reinstalled bare XP on both machines with nothing but the latest MS patches. I've kept the config simple and only tried using a single tuner. On one machine (Athlon 2800+), it completely locks up XP - only a hard reset will recover. On the other (Celeron 2.5GHz), it locks up gbpvr, but I can close it and reopen.
I only have a couple days before I can no longer return the card, so any ideas on why it crashes would be appreciated! (logs are attached).

Thanks
Matt

GB-PVR only tunes 1 channel in HDHomeRun
Posted by: laserfan - 2007-03-06, 03:05 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (24)

Having a bear of a time getting GB-PVR to scan properly with HDHR. In the Digital Channel Mapping window, a scan turns up multiple entries, but they are ALL THE SAME! There are 69 entries of the channel that was last tuned by HDHR's GUI program!

I even tried changing channels with HDHomeRun, then launching Config and Scanning again (where again it will turn-up multiple entries of this last tune) then selecting the new channel as a Tuning Request, but GB-PVR still does not tune any more than one channel.

Using latest 99.12 and 0301 of HDHomeRun. Any ideas???
