  IPTV Guide loading issue
Posted by: Castleman - 2020-12-11, 12:31 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (21)

Hello,

I have an IPTV subscription and the m3u loaded without an issue so I can see all the channels I have. What I cannot get to load is the IPTV Guide so I can record shows. The XMLTV Guide URL they've provided is:    http://ky-iptv.com:25461/xmltv.php?username=xxxxxxxx&password=xxxxxxxx&type=m3u_plus&output=mpegts.  I have tried truncating by removing the =mpegts and it had no effect. Please advise if you have any insight.

Thank you

  Donation link

I can't seem to find a link to make a donation. Is it right in front of my face or is there no link anymore?  I'd like to send sub a small Christmas donation and no longer see the PayPal link.

Note to other users:  If you use NextPVR and enjoy it, please think about making a donation (if you can find a link) for this wonderful software.  No other software has the help and updates like NextPVR.

Time offset for EPG on IPTV
Posted by: kufel - 2020-12-09, 10:47 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (2)

Hello! My IPTV provider's xmltv file produces the guide that is off by one hr. Most of the clients allow you to offset EPG in case of that but NextPVR does not seem to have this option (TV Mosaic does not as well).
Is there any way to adjust EPG time in this case?
Tried to change Windows time and time zone but nothing helps.
Thx

  Unable to record series
Posted by: FrogFan - 2020-12-09, 08:18 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (21)

Hello,

I am a generally happy user of NextPVR V5, but today I tried to record a series in Kodi and I got an error:  "Could not save the timer.  Check log for more information about this message".  I did that, and found some additional information:  "NextPVR returned an error:  The command failed.  Code = "2", Message = "Invalid arguments."  I tried to record the series in NextPVR and it failed.  Interestingly, I can record a single instance of this program, but I can't record the series.

Yes, I've done a search and found several instances of this problem here, but no resolutions that I can understand.

I may have deleted this series awhile back, but I want to add it back to the series' I'm recording now.  I saw something about running a command from the command line, so I tried that.  I couldn't get it to run, probably because I did something wrong.

I have been recording series for several other programs with no difficulties.  It's just this one (NCIS:  New Orleans), for now, that's giving me problems.

I've attached logs from today below.  Thanks very much for any help.

  Add media folder minor issue
Posted by: artmetz - 2020-12-09, 04:55 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (11)

When I add a Media folder from the V5 windows client, after selecting the folder, then entering a Media Folder Name. The dialog remains on screen after clicking Save. I have to save or cancel the Settings dialog for the MFN dialog to disappear.
I wound up with multiple dialogs when I added several folders.

Also, if I save from the settings dialog, the folder modification is saved. If I cancel the folder is ignored. (which might be by design...) (I like Apply buttons for that reason...)

  V5 menuitems
Posted by: artmetz - 2020-12-09, 04:46 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (4)

Working on migrating to V5.

None of my external menu items are working under windows 7. I setup Notepad as a simple test.
    <MenuItem enabled="true" exe="C:\Windows\System32\notepad.exe" args="">Notepad</MenuItem>

Not much in the log (I selected the Notepad menu item right after startup):

IPTV unusable on latest docker image
Posted by: thecubasekid - 2020-12-08, 04:59 PM - Forum: Docker arm32v7 - Replies (11)

Hi Folks,

is anyone having issue with IPTV following the last image 25th Oct v5.0.9.201026?

my docker boxes running latest CE are totally unusable, i get the TV picture up after quite a pause, then it freezes and every 10 -15 seconds it might move for a second or two then freeze again, this is happening on both SD and HD channels. Switching to IPTV Simple client on the same box plays the channels very smooth.

i also have the same version of NextPVR backed on my windows PC, and that plays smooth on windows, and also on my docker boxes if i point the NextPVR client to the PC instead of the local docker install, ive noticed a small stutter when i launch a channel from PC back-end that was rare previously but after that it is very smooth.

nothing jumps out at me in the logs from the docker boxes (i have attached a log)

prior to this latest image all had been working great on my CE /docker boxes..

i have docker boxes with their own reduced channel lists in each of my bedrooms, and another box in my lounge that connects to the back end on my PC with all channels. the docker boxes are a mix of AMLogic s905x, s905x3 and S912 and all appear to be effected

Thanks!

Cleaning up recordings in order of recording date
Posted by: TheRealRoland - 2020-12-08, 03:54 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (11)

I tend to record a lot of stuff (TCM for the win!). Once a week or two i would go through the Program Guide, line up recordings, and then copy the existing recordings onto a networked disk. I then remove most of the previous recordings using the list of recordings on nextpvr. But not all of them. Some of them i'd like to have kept available on the pvr just for ease of viewing.

Is it possible to have the "Recordings - All recordings (list)" option list the recordings sorted by recording date? That way it's easier to see which ones to remove and keep, since my mind is working by recording date, rather than title at that moment?

Alternatively, as a lesser option - if i'm on the 'Recent Recordings' screen, and remove some but not all recordings through that screen - will the list be 'padded out' with recordings that would fall originally out of what 'recent' recordings are?

As a second alternative - if i remove a recording from the drive, will that remove the corresponding listing entry inside the PVR on recent/all recordings lists?

Thanks,

Roland

  EPG not populating (timeout)
Posted by: ziz - 2020-12-08, 06:32 AM - Forum: Linux - Replies (3)

Hello,

I have NextPVR up and running, and I'm able to watch ATSC TV both live and timeshift. The issue is with EPG not populating. I'm in the US and have an active SchedulesDirect subscription. The credentials which get me onto the website are plugged in NextPVR settings.

During/after startup NextPVR appears to successfully fetch a token from SD. I'm also able to add the correct lineup on the settings page. When EPG update is kicked off it starts but never advances from ATSC scan to SD. NextPVR just reports EPG update completing successfully with 0 added/updated.

My client is Kodi, and watching live/timeshift ATSC (OTA) TV works while EPG update is not running. If the EPG update is started while watching TV, the stream in Kodi stops after few minutes and cannot be restarted without restarting NextPVR (Kodi logs show a connection timeout). I've also noticed the DeviceHostLinux processes hang after the main process has already exited, and have to be manually killed before restarting NextPVR. I wanted to isolate the EPG update issue, so this part is not captured in the attached logs - but I can try to replicate it again if it's useful.

I'm seeing the following timeout exception in the attached nrecord.log (line 18385) but it's not clear from the context what it is failing to connect (DeviceHostLinux?)

This hardware combo worked previously under Mint and was stable. I lost the system in an SSD crash so I'm not sure which exact version of NextPVR I had installed.
