I have the same channels in two qualities for example "NPO 1" which is SD and "NPO 1 HD". So HD variant of a channel always ends with " HD"
I do my recording mostly on SD channels because of size and often enough it's good enough.

I wanted to record all movies with Christmas in the title but only for the SD channels so I added:

If you edit a schedule and change the Advanced editfield and press Save it doesn't get saved/changed.

I have a Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD tuner card that I can no longer control with the remote control, I have to use a mouse which is kind of a pain. I bought a new infrared receiver but that did not resolve the issue. It was not the same one as the original, although I did buy it from Hauppauge. The original infrared receiver got wet and I have been unable to use the remote since. I use Direc TV as my main source of TV but now that they are in a contract dispute with the owners of my local CBS, I will have to use my antenna connected to my tuner card to receive all of my CBS programming, being able to use the remote again instead of the mouse will make it easier.

I thought about buying a new tuner card but wanted to see if there was anything else I could do first instead.
Anyone have any Ideas?

I have ripped all of my DVDs to my PVR. and am now in the middle of a project to import them into NPVR. I first use VidImport to create the XML file, then import it into NPVR.

I have not worked on this project in several months but tonight wanted to do a little work on it. When I tried to use vidimport by dragging both a folder and the contents of the folder onto VidIimport (the same way I did several months ago) a command prompt Window opened (as usual) but only the VidImport version info was displayed in the command prompt window and no xml document was created. I even tried a folder I had previously successfully completed with no luck.

Before trying this I did upgrade to NPVR version 5. Should that matter? Version 4.2.5 is also still installed.

I tried redownloading vidimport and rebooting my PVR. I also verified that dot net 3.5 was installed.

Anyone know how I can get vidimport working again, or is there something else more recent I can use.

I manually import the XML after I edit the data, IE add show description, the actors etc since vidimport did not do that. So whatever recommended utility, if not VidImport, does not need to do that.

i am new with NextPVR.
Actually i use MP2 as TV Server and two active Clients. Now i want to Test NextPVR, but i get the first problem directly after the installation.

Is there any trick for DVB-S2 to start a channel scan?
NextPVR shows my 4 DVB-S2 Tuners from Digital Devices, but when i want to start the channel scan on the Astra 19.2E satelite, NextPVR says within one second "no channel found".


With MP2 there is no problem with the channel scan.


Can anyone help?

Since the last TvOS NextPvr app update a few days ago I can no longer manually connect to the v5 server (latest version) on a different subnet. I can't say for certain if it's version 3.1 or 3.2, since it won't launch, but presume based on your notices and the timing of the update it's v3.2.  I can still connect to the server via browser and the iOS app. Both the TvOS and iOS clients are on the same subnet separate the server.

Has the latest TvOS app been tested for proper manual connect functionality?

I'm finally getting some time to devote to getting KNEWC working with Kodi on my Debian Rpi4 on a wired network. Great success! Thanks for your hard work!

I have a question...Each time I start a new channel, the video/audio begins almost immediately. Good. But after about 10-15 seconds, things pause and the "Buffering" message appears. After 100% is reached, video/audio are restored never again to appear until I change the channel.

My research has turned up nothing. Time-shifting is not involved. I have found no way to control any hardware decoding.

Order of events:
-Restart server service
-Start Kodi
-Start KNEWC add-on
-Start LiveTV and witness the buffering
-Stop KNEWC and then Kodi
-Flush server buffers, zip them and then add in the Kodi log

Can you take a look at the logs(NextPVR and Kodi in one zip) and tell me if I can fix this?

Did a fresh install of NextPVR v5.0.9.201026  on my media server (windows server 2019 datacenter) and supplied my Schedules Direct credentials, but no data appears to be retrieved from them. 
I did some digging in the configuration file: \users\public\NPVR-data\config.xml and it looks OK, except that the URL for Schedules Direct appears to point to their deprecated API, v20140530 -- looking at github, it would seem that the this API version was superseded back in 2015 by v20141201.

Which appears to point to API version 20141201 as the current API -- A quick reading of the wiki shows that the 20140530 API was
retired in 2015. It seems unlikely that no one but me been using NextPVR with Schedules Direct. Is there were a facility within NextPVR, or
perhaps a utility to test connection to Schedules Direct?  (I didn't see anything in the documentation about it.) 

Or maybe I'm just missing something really obvious.

I have no idea what happened but today it recorded all the shows from one series with Spanish audio.....now the English audio is there as a second track but now I have to extract the audio and change English to the default like it is supposed to be.  Is there a setting I could have accidently changed to make this happen?
