Thanks to sub's hard work we got diseqc working on the Hauppauge Nova SE/S-Plus cards.
However, there seems to be a problem with the DVB-S EPG updates. I have configured 3 capture sources, for some channels without a DVB EPG I use xmltv (one source), and I have 2 others using the DVB EPG.
When starting the EPG updates from the tray application, from within config or automatically, just one transponder appears to be scanned and then the update is terminated.
This seems to be be problem:
Unexpected failed in DvbEpgReader.LoadChannels(): System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
at NativeUtilities.BDARecorder.GetPsiParserEPG()
at GBPVR.Backend.Common.DvbEpgReader.LoadChannels(IEpgUpdateProgressCallback callback)
However, if I go into config and set the first channel from the transponder list using the rescan feature/preview window and the update the EPG, it works. I have to do this for each of the two DVB EPG capture sources, otherwise there's no update.
I suspect that the switching latency of the diseqc switch causes the first tuning request to fail and the EPG update starts without a locked signal and thus fails. A longer EPG harvest time setting doesn't change this behaviour.
I have attached some with non working and working examples.

is there a way to specify how many menu items, in a horizontal skin, are displayed? for example, olbia displays 5 menu items, and sassari 3....i'm looking to try out sassari with 4 or 5 menu items.
i'm assuming it's a skin setting somewhere, but i don't know where to find it....
I've got so far with understanding stuff like PACK headers and stream IDs etc. but it would be useful if I could find a document with the specification of the structure of an mpeg2 PS file.
Googling so far hasn't found it - anyone know of one?
Netflix is starting to offer Internet Delivery of TV/Film shows. I would like to be able to access this from the GB-PVR menu so that I do not have to exit out of GB-PVR. You can read more about this on this page.
I also think that is would be cool if I could somehow log onto my netflix account and update my movie pics. I want to be able to do this all with my Hauppauge grey remote. I don't know if this can be done with the IE plug-in or not.
I have my update set to every hour. I also selected to update when starting - now, I don't know if this means when GBPVR starts or when I select the weather plugin. It once in a while when I switch to weather say it is downloading the weather. But most of the time, not. I.E. today (Sunday) is shows Todays weather, Tomorrows weather, and Mondays weather, which is obviously a day behind - maybe a selction to force an update by pressing a colored button or a menu item.
I have reviewed the forum for posts with the same type of requests. Has anyone out there worked with any good plugins that provide a lock/password on recordings?
I own a HP Intel dual core Media PC. I would like to get away from dvr-ms, so I would use GB-PVR, if I could. The remote on this system, is a HP remote, but in configuring GB-PVR channel changer, it doesn't matter what I use, the remote works fine to control GB-PVR, but doesn't change the channels on Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8000 cable box.
I have read every post I could find on the IR Blaster that is installed, eHome IR Reciever. I have tried HIP and Glider, to no avail. Perhaps I am too dense to understand the setup.
Is there any way to support the eHome IR Reciever?
Partly inspired by all the positive feedback on here, I got a PVR500... Nonetheless, I've been having a lot of issues... I can never seem to get it configured correctly... it looks like I've got it working (works a few times), then the next day I go back (perhaps after some other setting has been changed elsewhere in GBPVR), and its "broken" (i.e. when I press Live TV GBPVR just hangs and I need to reboot my machine...task manager cant kill the app, even though everything but gbpvr is responsive)...
I've tried the newest drivers I could find on hauppauge support website, but still no go... Can someone perhaps tell me what settings you guys are using? I've tried fiddling but havent gotten very far...
I'm also having a lot of trouble finding a dependable and solid DVD/.iso decoder... I've got NVidia and InterVideo installed on my machine. They both appear to work and then just stop working (i.e. videos dont play anymore.. usually I try to start an iso, I get the "WARNING" screen and then just a blank screen... moving the mouse will show only the "exit" button in these cases)... Its driving me pretty insane...
Anyways, first things first, I'd like to get the TV working... I've got a lot of doubts because there are so many options (ffdshow, no ffdshow, live tv preview, no preview, VMR9 rendered, custom rendered, and so forth) I'd like to know what the "recommended" settings are, so I can start from that and then tweak...
