While trying to get logs for another problem I was investigating, I discovered some other crash problems that are occurring somewhat randomly during the day. The system is idle except for any periodic plugin updates or MVP network handshaking.
Once such error is below:
1/11/2007 2:05:31 PM.000 ERROR [2] FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION:: System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteException: SQLite error

i was playing around with video streaming using the EWA and developed (what i thought) was a better way of receiving the stream. it allows the user to have control of pausing and rewinding and fast-forwarding (to a point) the video.
1) start the streaming from the server using the EWA.
2) pull up first VLC instance on the client (VLC1).
3) set VLC1 to open a network stream: http://server:7648.
4) set the stream output from VLC1 to a file only. minimize VLC1.
5) start a second VLC instance on the client (VLC2).
6) set VLC2 to open a file, pointing to the file in which VLC1 is streaming into.
the timeline shown on VLC2 is dynamically updated based on the growing stream file fed by VLC1. the user then has control to pause, RWD, FFWD playback on VLC2 (FFWD only up to the most recent stream data available of course). only way to watch streamed video in my opinion...
Sitting there watching TV. No probs. Surfin around doing my thing. Suddenly it drops out of LiveTV to "An Object Reference....." error. No biggy. Happens occasionally when the machine has been up for a while without a reboot. Reboot and same thing. LiveTV, Video Archive...all of it....
I've tried powering down everything and bringing it back up. Same deal. So I start reading and saw the other thread where the drivers were corrupt. But I'm not convinced that is my issue. So I start log diving:

I run a 16:10 monitor, native LCD res. at 1680x1050, and although I know there is a option to change your TV size to only 16:9, I'd like to know if there is a way to change the GB-PVR when it lauches to match my desktop res. (of 1680x1050) , not unlike what Windows MCE does.
If possible, what file to edit with a XML editor, etc.
Thanks!
As I am trying to start from scratch with the VA plugin. I first uninstall/reinstall the plugin. Then I run GetDVDinfo tool to populate the database the result is that only a handfull of my movies is entered in the new DB. The log reads the following:
Code:
01-11-07 10:38:35:531 [1] Match Point D1.avi has already been added to the database, most proably by another instance of GBPVR.
01-11-07 10:38:41:734 [1] Match Point D2.avi has already been added to the database, most proably by another instance of GBPVR.
How do I go about to do a fresh install of your plugin?
I have tried this wonderful application EWA to GBPVR.
Nearly everything works perfectly.
I have no sound when I stream from the host to a client.
If I try to play a recorded movie it works perfect.
Of course I have installed VLC both on the host (GBPVR server) and on the client.
Config under config page in EWA is as follows:
-- Streamer Configuration Settings --
VLC Location:
Stream Player: VLC
Open Stream in External Player
Common Streamer Options:
Video Bitrate: 256
Video Size: 480x320
Streamer Port: 7648
Streamer Buffer Size (ms): 5000
Streamer Process Priority: Normal
Streamer Transcode Options: MP4V/MP4A/MPEG-TS
I have no windows firewall on and I do my tests on a local LAN.
Ok I wanted to start off by saying that this may or may not be specifically GBPVR related.
I recently bought myself a which is great but leaves me with a lack of component inputs on my TV. I only have 2 inputs on my TV. I have my GBPVR in the svid input, my cable box hooked up with the coaxial, and my dvd player/surround sound combo hooked up to the component. To hook up my wii I have to disconnect the dvd player or install a video switch (which I dont want to do.)
The first thing I tried was connecting my wii to the component in on my PVR 150. But due to the way the remote sensor works and where my computer is located, it has to be connected to the TV. The second method I tried was connecting the video out of the DVDplayer/Surround sound system to the component in on the PVR. I ended up with the audio out of sync with the video when watching live tv in GBPVR. Is this a latency issue due to the time it takes for the card to process the information and send it to the TV? Or is the problem with GBPVR processing the image?
My other option is to use the dvd player on my gbpvr computer but the sound is throughouly screwed up. Voices are very quite, but the music and explosions (etc) is really loud. It also seems like the surround sound does not work properly. Using the DVD player on my GBPVR would be a fine solution if I could get the surround sound to work. Does anyone have any suggestions? hints?
