I have been using NPVR 5 happily for some months. Recently I had several recordings which were breaking up. I wondered if a retune was needed. I went into settings and rescanned channels. Then I disengaged my brain, and merged channels. (This is probably because on my old EyeTV setup I used to get a load of duplicate channels). This appeared to merge everything which was a mess. After messing about for a while and being unable to solve it, I reinstalled with the latest NPVR, remembering to copy over the updated NShared.dll that was given to me to fix a previous EPG issue. I also went to /var/root/.NPVR-data and removed the database.
I then rescanned channels and updated EPG.
Having waited over night, I find that some channels have EPG data, and some do not. Some of the basic UK channels have no EPG data, so I know they were working fully before.
Is this something you can make any suggestions for, or should I export the logs?

Just switched my server over to v5 on Linux and am still working through some setup items. My wife pointed out the "Search" (EPG) doesn't work. Running Kodi with knewc as a UI on the server and when I select "Search" from the menu it makes the UI selection noise, but the screen doesn't change. I also can't back out or do anything in knewc. I have to close knewc and restart the addon.
I went and tried it on my ODroid N2 CoreELEC with knewc in another room. On that client selecting the Search menu item results in a black screen that I couldn't get out of until I hit enough remote buttons, I think it may have been the menu button that brought me back to Kodi.
Logs attached. I started messing around with it about 22:05 on the server-kodi and around 22:20 (or 22:22?) on the client-kodi. Based on what I see in the logs, the server-kodi seemed to be doing something called "slideout" instead of search, but client-kodi seemed to be requesting a "search".
So after many tries I did install nextpvr on linux. Great improving of performance for my server.
I am scheduling some timers. but when I go to watch looks like the record works for 10 minutes and stop
but still saying was record for example 30 minutes.
Is there anything that I can do to avoid this?
also watching VOD always crash around 45 minutes
I do have time shift enable on kodi that would be the problem?

Hi I have a raspberry Pi 4 4gb memory and have ubuntu-mate installed on SD 32 GB card with Kodi and have been trying to get nextpvr to install/run / I have been trying to follow any how to's on the net with out luck Jack
but getting the final tweaks, i would like to be able to set a different recording dir for each channel group.
eg Sports to /recordings/sports News to /recordings/news etc.
However when i change 1 in the GUI, it changes for all. I added an extraline in the config.xml as i saw a post on the Windows side - but wondered how to map this extra dir to the group concerned?
I've seen this discussed already and I'm sorry to have to ask again, but the reply answers post links that are dead. Trying to get v5 going with an HDHomerun 3 tuner device. It opens up default browser asking for a username and password.
What username and password? Why is this such a secret(or seems to me)?
Any help would be appreciated. A pointing to a hand holding thread to get started for the first time for Windows 7 users. SiliconDust tuner user. I can't believe how hard it is anymore to find basic info. It never used to be this way.... as in finding simple info. That's on multiple things.
Is there a way to configure a Recurring event to record the same titled item in a series?
Example: a cartoon has short episodes... and teh cartoon name is the same.... but I want that to be a single recording file and not 8 min recordings per episode
Cartoon Title -1 Cartoon Title - 2 Cartoon Title - 3 Cartoon Title - 4
So is there a way to configure that where the app will continue recording an show if the series Title is the same until a different TV show starts?
when playing back NZ Freeview recorded TV it simply will not play
this appears to be for Choice & Prime channels only
yet the file size indicates that it has recorded
