when i open the Photo Library it takes about 20 seconds until i can expand the first folder ....
another thing is that the scrolldown box dosnt recognized the screen resolution, as u can see in the screenshot ....
I've had this happen to me many times and not just the latest version 99.05. When playing a recording that is in progress, GBPVR hangs when I fast forward (or skip?) immediately at the start. I'm guessing GBPVR is reading some time info in the beginning and skipping to quickly crashes the program. This is very reproducible.
Greetings. Just upgraded from 98.13 to 99.5. When I record the same TV programs my .mpg files have "grown" from about 930mb to 1.5gb ... I select the same profile all the time "Medium" quality. Checked "Medium" and it appears the same settings as in 98.13. Any ideas ... something else changed? Thanks (for the program), and any help.
First of all, I love GBPVR! All my friends are envious of my Video capabilities!
I tried to upgade to the new 99.05 and I didn't know that I had to upgrade the Net 2.0 files first. Okay, no problem; I update those files and try the install again. When I tried to open config or gb-pvr, Windows would force me to close it with critical errors. So I made the mistake of doing a system restore to this morning, and now I can't find gbpvr anywhere.
So I am trying to do a clean install, but Windows won't let me install the previous version until it finds GBPVR09612.msi. Searches on the net cannot find this older installation file. Would it be possible to provide me with this msi so I can install 99.05 from scratch?
With careful installation, both USB sticks will be visible in Windows Device Manager, both tuners have their own device numbers in GBPVR, and both be tuneable and have channel maps assigned - BUT...
...things seem to go horribly wrong as soon as I restart the machine, or resume from standby. Either one of the two sticks will fail to tune, but both will still be detected in device manager.
I'm guessing that none of this is directly related to GBPVR itself - more that it is a Hauppage driver problem, or the fact that the drivers aren't written to correctly support more than one instance of that tuner device at all.
That said, I would REALLY appreciate a response from anyone who has managed it, or had come close and may have tried something I haven't.
As an aside, I also get a LARGE number of 0kb recordings, mainly (but not entirely limited to) immediately after wake from suspend for a scheduled recording - should I be looking at buying a more reliable tuner device, or am I doing something stupidly wrong here?
I'm using:
GBPVR v 0.99.5
Cyberlink MUX 5.0.2022
Hauppage WinTV-HVR-900 driver v 4.6.606.24158 (06/06/2006)
Any help would be mucho appreciated! I desperately want to carry on using this sweet software that has made my MediaMVP worth buying!
Both on my local computer (gbpvr) and laptop
with maxthon 1.5 or maxthon 2.0beta 2 i have some problems with the web search and guide.
when I click to submit a search:
>This program cannot display the webpage
>Most likely causes:
>You are not connected to the Internet.
>The website is encountering problems.
>There might be a typing error in the address.
blah die blah blaaaaa
Same thing when i want to browse in the guide.
Everything is working with IE7, opera.
Is there a way to log the web actions?
As far as I know, everything worked in older 96.12 version...(the one not using .NET 2.0)
Any ideas?
pz1 Wrote:For the average newbie it would be good if plugins that are no longer maintained, were marked as such on the WIKI.
If I was more knowledgeable on GBPVR, I would volunteer to do this.
I started to create a page that some of the older, "buggy" plugins can be moved to.
Other ones are Music related plugins that still work, but are no longer being developed. That way users would know there is no possibility for feature requests.
Anyone have any ideas for other ones to include without going nuts and putting 70% of them there.
I know this has been mentioned in the past, and forgive me for bringing it up again. GB-PVR is so good I'm building a new media PC just to use it to it's fullest extent. What would really be the icing on the cake would be reception of the UK Freeview radio channels. There are loads of them, and earlier versions of GB-PVR tuned them, I think accidentally. It would be a brilliant addition. Please? It'd be worth another donation
Is it possible to st up a warning messenger in GBPVR before a recording will go to take over LiveTV? I think I saw some warning that there was a scheduled recording to come up in some minutes before actual recording begun, but can not see it any more. Where can I set it to show a messenger like: Recording will start in XX min. Where XX will show time until LiveTV will end and Recording will take over control. (I have only one TV-tuner so it would be nice to know why TV are suddenly jumping up to "home".)
