NPVR server in the lounge v4 NPVR, Kodi on pc's, tablets etc around the house. This evening the kitchen pc windows/kodi v16 gets stuck on updating NPVR channels/programs, it's been good as gold for 5+ years.
Re-boot both - same, each can see each other on the network.
Check previously working config on android tablet, kodi quits after 30sec of pvr update.
Install kodi on 2 day old laptop, all good until I add the NPVR addon and configure it, then Kodi quits after 30 seconds.
On the kitchen pc I uninstalled the nextpvr addon to kodi, now I can't even get it back to kodi configuration state, it wont install from a zip or repo.
Not sure whats going on and could do without more home IT issues, it's frustrating because I've changed nothing (to my knowledge ...
Is it possible to add air date information for tv series when artwork is loaded from using for example the thetvdb.com?
I ask as in the uk unfortunately tv guide data does not include air date for episodes yet it does seem to include the series and episode numbers (making it useful info for a airdate lookup by nextpvr)
I'm new to NextPVR and have been trying to set it up on a PC running Windows Home Server, however, I am having a few problems, so wondering if it just doesn't work on WHS any more, or whether I just need to do something differently.
Basically, all seems to be installed OK and I can see it running in the system tray but when I go into the NextPVR settings and try and access the Devices page, nothing happens, it just stays on whatever page I was on previously (I also don't see the available space diagram on the main page). I have installed it on a Windows 10 PC and that works fine, though unfortunately, that PC doesn't have a tuner card and really want it running on my server as that is on 24/7.
So is the latest version just not compatible with WHS, I guess the web browser on there is a bit old, so maybe that is the problem (not sure if I can install something more modern or whether that wouldn't work either), or do I just need to change some settings?
I just installed version 5 and cant seem to access the settings to set up?
I decided to install 5 being the new version and as as I have had some issues with version 4 stability.
After install on the webpage client at http://localhost:8866 I can see tv guide and settings icon with no access to configure server settings (tv chanels not working either). I was not required to enter a password to log in either.
Within version 5 desktop client I can access "About" / "General" / "Media Folders" / "Decoders" settings but if I select "Devices and Chanels" or "Configure Next PVR Server" buttons I get directed to a webpage with the following error "Server Error in '/' Application" as screenshot attached?
Sub Thank You for working on NEXTPVR being able to parse the guide from the HDHomeRun DVR that gives me another guide source in 5.0.9.201017... Worked great and all Channels mapped using automap.
If anyone is interested in trying this here is my windows script Curl.exe is required .... and HDHomeRun DVR subscription.

I am using NPVR on Ubuntu 20.04. I set it up, added the IPTV and EPG list. Everything is fine. The problem occurs when I try to play a channel. Playback continues for 2-3 seconds, then stops (picture and sound freezes). Some channels play correctly and some do not. I suspect it has to do with the buffer. If it is too low then playback hangs. I will add that the channels play correctly in VLC.
Is it possible to increase the buffer for playback? Or is it something else? I attach the logs below.
I have a TV show that I am recording but I cannot get any images to show up for "Black Sheep Squadron" in NextPVR. I have images for all the other shows but this one is missing. Is there anything I can do to to fix this? I suppose it could be Schedules Direct is the problem. I have some logs if it helps.
In my recurring recordings, I have several advanced recording rules, and it looks like these are causing NextPVR to schedule new recordings of episodes that I've already recorded (and watched and deleted). Is there some way to prevent it from recording episodes that have been recorded previously? I'd hope that something that can be added in the "Advanced" box, like "already_recorded = 'Y'", or something along those lines, but I'm not sure what the right keyword would be (assuming one even exists). There don't seem to be any other settings for individual recordings to control this.
There's an option on the main settings page that says "Avoid duplicate recordings where possible", and I have that checked, but not sure if it addresses this issue.
This is using the Docker version, and controlling things through the web interface.
Hello,
I am very new to nextPVR, but used WMC for many years.
Just today I got a tuning adapter from my cable company (Spectrum/Charter) so I could watch digitally switched channels.
As of now I am not able to see them. The "regular" channels (HBO, CNN, etc...) come in as before, but the DS ones still do not.
I am using a Ceton InnfifiTV PCIe 4 board with Ceton Proxy to emulate Homerun. The old channels work and record flawlessly.
The Ceton diagnostic tool shows the presence of the tuning adapter and allows me to tune and lock the DS channels. If I use the web nextPVR interface, the SD channels wait for a while then fail with the message "Steraming Failed (Transcoder Exited)"
Is there any setting I may have missed? In nextPVR or in the Ceton Proxy?
