First off, big props to the members of this project. It is something to be proud of.
Just a minor point. When you click on a show in the TV Guide in the Windows Desktop App, the popup window includes information like "Originally aired: 5/14/2020" at the bottom, in addition to all the other various information such as channel number, scheduled air time, season/episode info and description of the episode.
If I click on the same show in the TV Guide in the web app, the "Originally aired" information is not included. Would be a nice addition since it would help create more certainty over whether a particular episode is a new one or not.
Not sure whether you would consider this a suggested improvement or a bug.
I've recently upgraded to v5.0.9.201018 on Win10 x64. If I hit Escape to exit the EPG or to exit watching TV, I get an Unhandled exception. The Details are in the attachment.
If I dismiss the box, I can continue to do what I was doing.
[attachment=2350][attachment=2350][attachment=2350][attachment=2339][attachment=2339][attachment=2339][attachment=2339][attachment=2339]Hi,
i am having an issue with nextpvr on windows 10 not terminating/releasing the connection to my hdhomerun dual after finishing to watch or recording a show. this is happening in web and desktop apps.
is occurring with the current and previous versions of nextpvr.
the only way I can fix this is to power off/on the hdhome device or stop/start the nextpvr service.
issue does not happen when using hdhome supplied app.
About 80% of the recordings work correctly and have Season/Episode numbers and Episode name, however the 20% don't and just show the record date. I'm guessing this is an issue with information coming from Schedules Direct (my guide provider)? Oddly enough it's not consistent so a show will record great and then 2 episodes will not have Season/Episode numbers then it goes back to having the info.
Assuming it's a provider issue, would it be possible to at least include the Subtitle/Episode name in the filename if there is no Season/Episode numbers available? I see the Subtitle/Episode name in NPVR, so it seems to know it, just can't get the exact S00E00 part. It would make it much easier for me to manually fix if I at least have that info in the file name.
Example is "Secret Life of the Zoo". It there are 2 episodes recorded on 10/18 that have a subtitle in NextPVR, but just dates/times in the recording names.
Please note that latest Kodi 19 Matrix Alpha alpha disables nextpvr with the below message:
2020-10-19 19:39:10.748 T:22140 DEBUG <general>: CAddonInstallJob[inputstream.ffmpegdirect]: requires kodi.binary.instance.inputstream version 2.3.3 which is not available

I guess it is because Kodi 19 obviously discontinues the below addons?
I set up a recording via Kodi for an NFL game. I set a post-padding of 60 minutes. I confirmed with the web UI that the recording was scheduled properly and had the correct post-padding. For some reason, it ignored the post-padding when it recorded. Logs attached.
When setting the web browser to full screen mode using F11 key and then watching live tv in the nextpvr web client the screen is offset and not really full screen. Without pressing F11 (browser normal mode) fullscreen video works fine. Here is a screenshot of what I see.
I checked a Youtube video using full screen browser mode and then selected full screen video and it displayed properly. I tried this with Edge Chrome and Google Chrome with the same results. Logs attached.
when using the web ui and trying to play live tv or recordings, subtitles will not show yet they show with the desktop interface.
I am using nextpvr 5 and am from the UK.
I think the subtitles are dvdsub type.
The same applies when using the knewc addon in kodi although it does subtitles when not transcoding and doing it direct.
Any ideas or updates please?
I tried editing the config file to edit ffmpeg but this did nothing.
I also noticed that when the streams would not show subtitles on the web ui, if i copied the url into vlc the stream would let me select subtitles.
