I was wondering if there are any users of EPG Collector on here, who capture SkyNZ OpenTV format epg data from DVB-S using EPG Collector?

Reason I ask, is that I have been using the above for years,  and earlier this week, I noticed that all EPG data for most SkyTV NZ channels now will not work in EPG Collector.

Just wondered if anyone else has noticed this, and would it be to Sky changing something, thus locking out EPG Collector?.

I use a MySkyHDi STB via Hauppauge Colossus, and use the EPG to record from the STB.
Not having any guide data makes it rather difficult to record TV.

I had been using DVB-S card, and scanning transponder frequency '12519000 H' from Optus D1
All the channels show up on a scan in EPG Collector,  but when running, I get no listings for Sky channels, except the Freeview channels.

Does NextPVR have the ability to extrapolate Sky EPG from the above transponder, or is it Freeview only?

I know this is not a NextPVR support issue,  but given my configuration, it kinda is... sorta.
(grin)  I only just got NextPVR 5 IR blasting working, and it has been working really well,  and now this.

This is unfortunately a Plex problem, but it made sense to start here.

This problem happens with a couple shows, but the easiest example is The Office: Plex automatically crawls the series as The Office UK, instead of US. You'd think their heuristics could make an educated guess based on my geographical location, or to check if the name of the episode matches the database, but they don't. 

I can manually "fix match" on the show in Plex, but the next time it records another Office episode, it goes back to the original assumption and uses Office UK again for that new recording. Lovely!

It's unlikely for them to fix this right now, especially as they are working on a new TV scanning agent. So, is there any way to add "(Year)" to the show title, preferably in both the folder and files? It's available for movies, but doesn't seem to be an option for TV.

(If anyone else has found a solution to this, I'm all ears!)

I have installed NextPVR v5 on a RPI 4 with Ubuntu Server 20.04 64 bit. The tuner is recognized (thru lshw) and has a driver installed. But NextPVR does not show the tuner as a recognized device? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

On the search screen the program synopses are usually truncated. Would it be possible to show the entire field when hovered?

I have used the installer to install NVPR on my RPI4 4GB. Can I check that the location of scripts on such an installation is:

/opt/nextpvr/system/data/scripts

as the Wiki locates them to '..' which isn't much use. Also, the placeholder.txt sample file in this location references Windows, rather than Linux type script files 

How do I pass parameters to these script files ? To use comskip for example in Windows I would use:

"D:\Utilities\comskip\comskip.exe" --ini="D:\Utilities\comskip\comskip.ini" --playnice --ts %1

What would be the Linux version of this ?

Following a recent update of my RPI4 4GB (sudo apt update / sudo apt full-upgrade) I then just happened to check on the NPVR Service to check it was running:

Are the 'libpng warning' messages anything I need to be concerned about ? If so what do I need to do to fix them ? 

I am running NPVR v5.0.8 and, as you can see, the system has been up continuously for quite a while (since v5.0.8 was released in September). I am not seeing any problems with its day to day use. I can provide the logs if necessary but on this occasion I am not sure they add anything.

I noticed this evening that when I select 'All Recordings (List)' in the web client 'Recordings' menu that the links do not work (Delete does work though  ). I selected Play, the recording title link, and the Download button but nothing happens. The 'All Recordings' web page links and the 'Recent Recordings' links work fine. 

The logs are taken from my Linux server but the Windows server has the same issue.

je suis nouveau j'aimerais pouvoir connecter nextpvr à kodi 

je veux pouvoir les relier pour pouvoir enregistrer facilement et avec une plage horaire définit 

j'ai bien suivit les procédures sur nextpvr , j'ai rentrer importer mon lien dans les chaînes, ajuster les paramètres 

or deux choses, sur nextpvr je n'arrive pas à enregistrer car l'epg n'est pas présent ,

mais surtout comment fais-je pour relier NEXTpvr à mon KODI

used NextPVR4 without issues with numerous iptv providers for a long time except for one recently.  stream play just fine with this one provider in VLC but in NPVR4 it's just black, no audio or video.  tried recording and its just file size zero.  any help tracking this down would be appreciated.

For some reason, I am not able to record the latest episode of a new series on FX.  The subject message was returned the first time, and three other times it said the recording service was not running!  V5 has been working beautifully for months now and all of a sudden I can't record a show.  Any ideas why this is happening?  To be fair, only change I made to my system was that I now use hibernation vice sleep, but I HAVE been able to successfully record shows following wake from hibernation.  Thanks.
