Dvico Fusion Pro showing only one channel in GB-PVR
Posted by: cjsok - 2006-12-13, 01:33 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Hi all,
First of all I would like to say what a great program this is.

Ok, Now to my issues.
I'm in Melbourne Australia and I have a Dvico Fusion Pro tuner card.
I have installed the drivers and software for the card.
In the dvico signal tester I get 80/90% signal strength.
and I can get the fusionTV software to scan for channels and it picked up each channel fine and I can watch them.

In the config program for GB-PVR I have set up the capture source for the card, When I go to map the channels to the EPG, It goes through the scan for the channels and find them, However when I click on the channel to get a preview, in that small window I get no video, except for channel 9 in fact all the channel 9's work (guide, HD, and normal digital)

When I map them and go into GB-PVR and click Live TV only channel 9 with be watchable, the rest of them give me an error about the cable not plugged in and to check the cable. It also displays that there is no quality and full strength. I read that it could be some other program accessing the tuner and interfering with GB-PVR. I have disabled auto-run on the two Dvico apps that run on startup, but the same results happens.

Also,
With my Dvico card you get a Dvico Fusion MCE remote, the remote receiver has a "mini-jack' which plugs into another cable which plugs into the card it self, I was wandering if any one has had any problems getting this to work?
I ran the remote config app for Dvico and chose the correct card, But the only options for where the remote receiver is plugged into is coms 1,2,3 and 4 or USB.
I know this should go to dvico themself, but there is not much help in there support section, and I figured some brainiak here should have come across this issue before and give me a little help.

Thanks in advance

Need some help with MEncoder commandline, please
Posted by: zehd - 2006-12-12, 11:47 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (8)

Hi all. I'm doing finishing touches on a new version of ZProcess where it will now use MEncoder to transcode files.

One thing I can do with FFmpeg is create a video rectangle inside a 4x3 field that may not necessarily be centred. Here's an example, including the commandline that would create the rectangel...

Code:
"C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Third Party\FFmpeg\ffmpeg.exe" -y -i "C:\TV\Recorded\Battlestar Galactica\Battlestar.Galactica-S03E08-Hero.avi" -target ntsc-dvd -deinterlace -b 4000000 -vcodec mpeg2video -ab 224 -ar 48000 -acodec mp2 -ac 2 -r 23.976023976024 -s [B]560x308[/B] [B]-padtop 64 -padbottom 108 -padleft 56 -padright 24[/B] -aspect 4:3 "C:\TV\Override\Battlestar.Galactica-S03E08-Hero.mpg"

With ffmpeg, I can play with the padding. The resulting padding + Rectangle size equals a 640x480 video...

In Mencoder, when I create the same size rectangle, it is automatically centred vertically and horizontally, within the field

Code:
"C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\Third Party\mplayer\mencoder.exe" -oac lavc -ovc lavc -of mpeg -mpegopts format=dvd:tsaf -vf lavcdeint,scale=[B]560:308[/B],expand=[B]640:480[/B],harddup -srate 48000 -af lavcresample=48000 -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg2video:vrc_buf_size=1835:vrc_maxrate=4000:vbitrate=4000:keyint=15:acodec=mp2:abitrate=224:aspect=4/3 -fps 23.976 -ofps 23.976023976024 -o "C:\TV\Override\Battlestar.Galactica-S03E08-Hero.mpg" "C:\TV\Recorded\Battlestar Galactica\Battlestar.Galactica-S03E08-Hero.avi"

With the MEncoder docs, it say that I can create hieght and width of a rectangle and define the x,y coordinates of the start of that rectangle, which would be great (I can create that code in ZProcess).. I just can't get it working...

http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/man/en/mplayer.1.html

I think it's in the scale or expand, but everything I do has the rectangle centred...

Any ideas?

Thanks
Frank

I have a ATI TV Wonder ELITE PCI. I installed gbpvr, but I cannot MOVE to a specific channel using the keyboard (channel number + enter) or the ATI Remote.
I tried but only the first number of the channel appeared on screen.
The programs works great, very good image quality, but I cannot get my favorite channels.

WinTV PVR-150 at CompUSA for $40 After Rebate
Posted by: DigitalRelay - 2006-12-12, 08:16 PM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

I stumbled across this deal last night and thought it might be helpful to someone else. I've been piecing together a system for GB-PVR including watching eBay for a deal on this card. CompUSA has it on sale for $69.99 with a $30 mail in rebate. I tried to place the order online for delivery, but the site said the delivery option was out of stock. However, I was able to order online for local pickup - 6 miles away, picked up this afternoon.

I think I've got all the pieces I need. Just need to free up some time to build and configure...

Any suggestions for using a Samsung A900 (Blade) cell phone?
Posted by: wtg - 2006-12-12, 07:46 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (3)

EWA seems so close to working with my phone that I thought I might ask if anyone has a suggestion.

My phone, a Samsung A900 surfs the web and can access many web sites and run Java, but I cannot log into EWA. I get the login screen and can enter my user id and password, but I cannot click the Login button: the phone doesn't see it as either a link or an enterable field.

Maybe there's just no hope since EWA uses ASP, but I thought I'd ask. Currently I'm running Orb on my GB-PVR box so I can login remotely to schedule recordings, but I'd rather shut it down and use EWA only.

TV Guide, Wrong info, records wrong shows
Posted by: danop75 - 2006-12-12, 07:16 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

im currently having a problem with my GBPVR not recording the correct shows. When recording Nip Tuck (43), it records David Lettermain (2). When watching live TV, it does the same, you click on one show but another comes up.
I have updated my epg, and also my zap2it.com, still no help.

Best way to put VHS on DVD with GBPVR?
Posted by: mkuyper - 2006-12-12, 05:52 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

OK. I need to transfer a bunch of home movies and hopefully some store-bought movies to DVD and I'm looking for the easiest way to accomplish this using GBPVR. But it needs to be easy enough for my wife to do it also. She uses GBPVR regularly, so I'm hoping there's a way to do it all within GBPVR Smile

I have a Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-USB2. The approach I'm thinking of taking is this. Use RCA audio/video cables to connect from our VCR to my WinTV-PVR-USB2 and set that input as it's own channel on GBPVR. Then, in GBPVR, just go to that channel, hit play on the VCR, hit record on GBPVR. Then when it's done, have some GBPVR plugin that converts the file to DVD format and stores it somewhere on my PC. Then, once they're all in DVD format, I can pick and choose files that I want on a DVD and burn it.

Now, if someone can help me with how to accomplish this and what plugins or utilities I would need, I'd really appreciate it. I see bits and pieces scattered throughout the forum, but my experience level in GBPVR is not good enough to where I can put the pieces together.

Also a side question, on my WinTV-PVR-USB2, if I have coax connected to it coming from my antenna and also the RCA cables connected as described above as a second input, does that work? Can it have two inputs or will it just pick one?

Thanks!

  TimeShift Mode - Question
Posted by: anarethos - 2006-12-12, 05:07 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I have somes question about the timeshit mode.

If I start the TimeShift Mode (either by pressing pause or by foprcing it to automatically start by disabling LiveTv in the Options Tabs), the recording restart if I change the channel. But if I do not change the channel, it will record for how long? Forever, until the hard disk is full? Until the end of the actual program? I i started a the timeshift moode at the beginnign of a program and I press record , say, nearly at the end of the program, will all the program since the beginning of timeshift will be kept, or only from the point I pressed record?

Thanks!
