Hi all. I'm looking to upgrade my current HTPC with a new motherboard and cpu. I have a Dvico Fusion5 lite, and while it is a good card, it doesn't work unless one reinstalls Windows using a Standard PC HAL. This removes the ability to share IRQs, and it's a major inconvenience. For example, daemontools can't be installed, because the virtual driver it needs can't find enough resources.
Is anybody running the Fusion5 WITHOUT having to install as Standard PC? If so, I'd love to know what motherboard you are using. At this point I'd rather just copy a known-working setup.
It seems that some of you have problem adding new stuff to the wiki. I believe that is due to some file permissions got changed, either when moving the wiki, or when upgrading it (less likely).
Could you please indicate what pages you are unable to create, and how you tried to do it?
I recently installed 0.98.8, and it has (mostly) worked fine. However, I tried Live TV for the first time today, and after selecting the Live TV menu option I got:
Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object error
My capture card is a PVR150 MCE. I've attached all the logs.
I'm curious if a plugin exists to do something akin to a movie search. Perhaps show me all shows over 1 1/2 hours or something. Scrolling through the TV Guide to find movies is cumbersome, just wondering if anyone has developed something to make it easier to find what movies are being offered on any channel for the week?
I am trying to set up a recording schedule using the scheduler found in Xrecord -->Power. When I pick channel 5 in the menu, under the schedule list it shows it as channel 297 and doesn't pick up any program because obviously it has the wrong channel.
Any way I can fix this?
Also, why do I have to pound my keyboard 5 times to move between the channels in the XRecord scheduler under "power"?
Hopefully I'm missing something simple here, but it may be a video-overlay thing: basically I'm trying to have an info panel on the main menu which has rounded corners. I can make a png with a transparent rounded knockout in the middle, but can't see how to put it in front of either the task image or the video inset.

I really like the look of the gbpvr software, but am not technically savy enough to install a TV tuner card to use. So, I was wondering what is the quality like of USB tv tuners? And do they work with this software. If so, what models/brands are the best. I had heard that this one from Hauppauge is very good, but i wanted to hear from actual users of this software before dropping $150
