I need a little help figuring out how to correctly set up the batch files. I save my recordings to a backup drive. D:\TV Recordings\
I have checked "auto create folders when recording". I run comskip while recording, and it does generate the .txt files for me.
Here the Postprocessing batch file I have been using
@echo
c:
cd\
cd "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr"
REM comskip.exe %1
call comclean.bat %1
move "%~dpn1.txt" "%~dpn1_original.txt"
Is there a plugin or feature that I am missing that would allow me to choose the format I want the file recorded it based on show? Like when you choose the padding and whatnot it allow you to choose format?
I understand it needs to convert to other formats from mpeg... but in the options menu it seems that you can only do that based on all recordings.
I can't get zap2it to run correctly. It always shows programs 3 hours earlier than they are supposed to be, for example, if Eureka (scifi) comes on at 9pm on tv, zap2it has it scheduled for 6pm. It will record what plays at 6pm and not Eureka. I checked my computer clock and it is EST, which is correct. I've tried reinstalling completely GB-PVR and zap2it with a new account, same problem (even after deleting gb-pvr files after uninstalling it). Please help.

I love GBPVR with my MVP, but if I can link the PC to the TV with a better TV out solution, (not impressed so far with my Geforce TV-Out, and my PVR350 is no longer much use), I will as I'd really like to have DVD files in my video library, and the poor old MVP can't handle the VOB's.
Has anyone tried linking their PC to their TV with one of the "Hand View" boxes?
The branding seems to be either: Grand, Grandtec or Mentor, but they're all the same thing really.
I have a squigly line between the top of my picture and the top letter box strip.
This only seems to happen on stations that are broadcasting 4x3. It displays as a smaller 4x3 in the letterbox with the sides cropped.
The PBS stations don't have this problem as the f7 key makes the 4x3 use the entire 4x3 screeen instead of inside the letterbox with the sides cropped.
Is there a way to make all of the stations use the entire screen when receiving a 4x3 signal. This happens on live tv and playback from recording.

I have a Hauppauge 150 with the included MCE remote. Checking the compatability hardware list on the GBPVR site, it says that this mce remote has "Limited support in GB-PVR. Requires HIP or Girder to use extra buttons".
Anyone using this remote and if so what has to be done in order to get it to work with full functionality? Did you use Girder or Hip, and if you did can I see your configuration file for it? Any other web resources other that the one GBPVR gives for setting up HIP?
Right now I have it set up with Windows MCE (and I have started to see the limitations of the MCE), but I want to give GBPVR and try.
I currently have a usb ir based MCE remote and receiver working with GBPVR, but I want to replace the remote with the one for all 8910. OFA customer support upgraded the 8910 with code 1272 for use with MCE.
Everything seems to work except for the chapter skip buttons which normally skip by 1 minute in GBPVR.
I tried using the learning remote function to reassign the keys based on the codes from the remote that came with the mce usb ir receiver, but the only work one time. In other words, I have to hit skip one minute, use another key, skip one minute in order for it to keep skipping.
Is their a way to make this work correctly without getting the jp1 cable?
Well, at least I think it is "interesting". By the way, I am a noob!
While watching live tv, recorded programs, etc. I seem to have some video problems. The video sync's fine, the quality is allright, it's not jerky, but it has streaks and weird motion problems when colors and lights change real fast or it things move really quickly.
It doesn't seem to occur when I watch on my monitor and it doesn't seem to be a problem with my capture card (as when I watch recordings on my monitor they look fine). I have deduced that it must be something with my video card and its link with the TV I am playing it on. But, I don't see these problems when I watch something with Windows Media Player on my TV and even when I full screen it. So, something must be going on b/w GBPVR and my video card. Any ideas on what I can try? Different decoder? Different video card settings? GBPVR settings? Any help would be appreciated.
By the way, I have only had this program and my card for about 1 day. I love this program and I love this community!
I recently upgraded to 0.98.8b and just installed it on another computer to try client mode using file sharing mode (I couldn't get streaming to work - I get audio but no video).
I shared the video directories (liveTV and video playback) and setup the paths in the config. It seems to run okay (can view the TV Guide, see and modify scheduled recordings), but when I try to view a recording in the video library by double-clicking the filename, nothing happens. I tried the Play button and got the "Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" message.
I tried to double-click on several files, and one or two of them would make the screen flash, but still would not play. Most did nothing. I found one file that would play, but it was an MPEG I created from VHS with a different program (but others created this same way would not play). Very weird.
I attached my log file from the client and the server, which shows a bunch of attempts, but the last two show a file that didn't work and the one file that works, in that order. I did notice that the log reports a video resolution of 0 x 0 for the file that doesn't work and a resolution of 320 x 240 for the file that does work. When I play these on the server the log file reports the first as 720 x 540, not 0 x 0.
