Is there a plugin or feature that I am missing that would allow me to choose the format I want the file recorded it based on show? Like when you choose the padding and whatnot it allow you to choose format?

I understand it needs to convert to other formats from mpeg... but in the options menu it seems that you can only do that based on all recordings.

When you add your recordings-dir to the video-archive-dirs in gbpvr-config-directories. Then you can transcode them through the video library.
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

I'm sorry... I don't mean to be a PTA... but I am not sure what you mean.

I think he's saying you can do it manually from the Videos (not a plugin) menu (or using Zehd's excellent Zprocess utility).

I don't think what you are after this is currently available, but there have been requests IIRC (mine included), in the Wishlist Forum for this, and I think it is a very very good idea.

Add your name there, or perhaps to Advanced WebAdmin, for a facility that does this: When you schedule recordings (in GBPVR or Webadmin, which I use most) you can check a box or choose a drop down for the TYPE of trasncode you want for that recording or season of recordings e.g. None, MPEG->DivX, DivX->MPEG for MVP playback etc. etc.

I see what you mean on the Videos menu, but nothing happens when I click start. It goes back to the Videos menu again.
