Just upgraded from ver 96 to ver 98 and have worked out most of the related errors with that. However, I'm still having one problem...when I go into XGuide, the channel grid is a bunch of rectangles filled with white. If I highlight one of those rectangles with the remote, the appropriate information displays. I've tried emptying and reloading the EPG, which fixed a problem I was having with the standard TV Guide, but did not have any effect on XGuide. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the XRecord bundle.
The result had quite a poor quality. I was wandering how can I force it to convert, still maintaining better quality result.
The converted file properties show video Frame-rate=29 f/s and Data-rate=199kbps.
What does the -b 1400 value mean?
[EDIT] Ah, it also seems to messed a bit the aspect ration, although nothing in the parameters suggest that. any idea?
My OSD has stopped working. I don't remember exactly when it happened, so I don't remember what changed. I'm using the Cyberlink decoder, but have the EnableVMR registry settings. In fact, I have the .reg file from the following thread imported into my registry. http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=18462
I'm using VMR9.
We're encountering an error when we use the right arrow to scroll past the right most time slot on the TV Guide. A window appears saying that there is a problem with the Width value of a rectangle being 0. I checked the log file and found the following:

I've rebooted the MVP multiple times as well as the PC and it appears to work now.
This problem happened yesterday as well. I'm a new GBPVR user (new PVR user actually) and chalked it up to a config problem. But it seems to keep coming up without any changes on the server side.
Any ideas? I see something about a key mapping. Did I miss something when I configured it? The arrows seem to work fine (on the remote) otherwise.
GBPVR Version: v0.98.8b
MVP Version: H2 (I think)
Dongle Version: Whatever came with v0.98.8b
I get video (grainy) and no sound when accessing recordings from GBPVR main interface. No nvidia purevideo decorder icon is displayed
If I go to the hard drive directly and open the drv-ms files, everything looks group and plays with sound in MS Media Player , the Nvidia sound decorder icon is being displayed
So my natural instinct is to believe that wrong/invalid codec is being used by GBPVR , or application other than Windows Media Player is being called to play the file - any way to know for sure?
I will try to reinstall purevideo tomorrow if I can not figure it out
I upgraded to ver 98 so that the Weather plug-in would work properly again, along with the requisite upgrade to .Net 2.0 and the latest Xrecord, along with the config.xml tweak for Access.
After a bit of fine-tuning and struggling through some error messages, everything seems to be working well going forward, but none of my past recordings are listed in Recordings. They're still on the hard drive, so I can play them using Video Library, but I'm wondering what I've done wrong (and if there's an easy recovery method).
This evening like recent Monday evenings, I had my GBPVR set to record back-to-back-to-back half-hour season shows.
From 7:00-7:30 it was set to record âHow I Met Your Motherâ, then 7:30-8:00 to record âThe Classâ, then from 8:00-8:30 to record âTwo and a Half Menâ.
When the recording service was well into what was/is the recording time of âThe Classâ, I just happened to click on the GBPVR tray icon on my PC to check the âShow Statusâ. I was surprised to see the Show Status (Recording Status) dialogue showing it was still recording âHow I Met Your Motherâ not âThe Classâ.
This may just be a bug in the dialogue refresh because Iâve been recording these shows for 2-3 weeks now and the recordings themselves are fine.
Oh yea, I tried closing and then reopening the GBPVR Tray application and it didn't change the problem.
Now it's switched OK when it began recording 'Two and a Half Men', that's what it's showing.
Hey, I'm currently using the latest gbpvr and I seem to be having clipping issues in GBPVR. Like when there is fast action on the screen the video seems to clip in sections. It's not stuttering at all, its just clippy. This happens in both live tv and recordings. If I play the recordings in windows media player or something like vlc there is no clipping at all. It just seems to happen in GBPVR. I've tried different codecs (intervideo, purevideo and FFdshow) they all do the same. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas.
Just in case my specs are
Athlon 1800+
512MB ram
Geforce 6200
