use internal tuner for basic cable and external tuner for digital cable
Posted by: j210277 - 2006-10-02, 04:55 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I have a Haupauge 150 mce, Compaq d51s . I am currently using digital cable with a firefly remote, serial cable attached to digital cable and using mot to change the channels. In my setup I am using the composite cable external setup for my tv setup. What I am wanting to do if it is possible is use the internal tuner for all basic cable channels ie: 1-70 and for the digital cable channels use the composite external tuner. I am thinking I would need 2 separate setups. Any ideas how I would go about doing this.

MCE Remote actually opens Media Center
Posted by: tweeknockr - 2006-10-02, 04:39 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi All,

So I just got my Harmony 680 remote, which comes w/ definitions for Windows MCE built in. The problem is, however, that pushing certain buttons (guide, for example) actually will open up Media Center (I'm running WinXP MCE). Is there any way to disable media center from opening up over top of GBPVR?

Thanks

Hi,
I stupidly deleated my channel lineup when my guide went blank and now I cant update because it says my config is wrong. I checked my source which is zap 2 it and made sure my login was correct and it was. When I run the config and click update it says:

system data.OleDb.OleDbException: The field is to small to accept the amount of data you attempted to add. try inserting or pasting less data.

Navigation controls not working with DivX
Posted by: Uisge - 2006-10-02, 04:24 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

My navigation controls wont work when playing back DivX movies from my video library. They work fine for MPEG playback but stop, Pause, FF, RR, etc. simply will not work when I am playing DivX.

Not sure what I did to screw this up but it is unbelievably annoying since my entire video library is in DivX format

Any help greatly appreciated.

Regards,

-Uisge

  Losing channels
Posted by: DDaland - 2006-10-01, 11:06 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Not sure this is a GB PVR problem, or a Hauppauge, or a problem with my satellite box......... thought I'd post here first....

The problem is- I can be watching a channel live when its time to start a recording. when the timer starts- it loses the signal, or else the channel changer doesn't completely send the "Correct" channel code- that is, instead of sending 269, it sends 69.
Any suggestions, or questions?

NMEDIA 100 Case - anyone using??
Posted by: folkboat - 2006-10-01, 09:02 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

Been looking for a new case & BUILD for GBPVR...

I like the case because its less than 17" wide. Doesn't look like a PC and would fit in our entertainment center thingy (armoire).

Anyone??

PS: Shuttles cost too much!!

Stuck after building a new PVR with a new PVR500
Posted by: TheBosZ - 2006-10-01, 08:46 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Alrighty then,

I'm switching which computer is my PVR and which is my main computer and I'm running into problems.

I'm also adding a PVR-500 to my PVR-250 and 150.

When I had the 250 with only the 150, everything worked just fine, but when I added the 500, things don't work now.

I took the 150 and 500 out and it works, I put the 500 in and it doesn't, so obviously something weird's going on with the 500.

I installed the 500 as two different capture sources in Config, one with the FM tuner, one without.

When I go to watch live TV, I get an "Object reference not set to instance of an object" error. Whenever I schedule a recording with the 500, it doesn't record anything and I get 0Kb files.

The logs point to a problem with NativeUtilities. This is from a fresh install of GB-PVR 98.8

I don't really want to do an entire reformat and reinstall so I'd like to get this working.

(Also, I'm running Win2K and I've made sure that I have all the required software including WMP 10.)

I'll attach my logs so someone can look.

Thanks!
